My poor pup has kennel cough after coming home from here, staff are very rude, would reply to my emails with another copy of an invoice. When I called to check on my dog half way through his visit they couldn’t get off the phone quick enough, the place felt like a prison.Almost $300 for a weeks stay & couldn’t even get a hello or goodbye. The lady pretty much kicked my husband and I out of the office when arriving to pick up our pup.Don’t take your animals here.

Best experience ever! Sue & Allen looked after our golden retriever Leia while my partner and I went to get married in the Hunter. They organised a surprise with my partner for Leia to come to our wedding as a secret bridesmaid!! Best surprise ever and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We recommend this lodge to everyone. It was clean and all the animals were well looked after and fed. Thanks again Sue & Allen :)

Cannot say a big thank you enough to the team at Bluegum! Over the last few years, we've had our dog stay here and it's been fantastic service. Would highly recommend these guys if you're next looking for your pet stay!

We used Bluegum Boarding Lodge for the first time when my dog stayed for 10 days over the Christmas/New Year period. Whilst here my dog contracted Kennel Cough & was very unwell. We are extremely disappointed that at no time was any direct contact made to advise us that our pet was not well. On the day our pet was collected we needed to seek medical advice from an after-hours Vet Clinic on a Public Holiday for immediate medications.

Lucky we do not own a dog! After seeing our friends dog after being there for 7 days. They brought the dog down to our place after getting it back from the boarding kennels that same day. We were disgusted how it looked, anybody would think it was dragged through dirt on a piece of rope, did not even look groomed. It was timid, dirty, and was not its normal self as we know it. Plus it had discharge coming from its eyes, no energy, cut on its nose, plus sleeping all the time, plus other symptoms. Lets just blame kennel cough as they seem to say there quite often, which it wasn't, it was covid, after checking with the vet. Not at all professional, would not recommend them to anyone.

My dog spent a week in December. The people don't even appear to like animals, it's just income to them. My dog was handed back to me with kennel cough, claimed my dog was fine. They couldn't get out of there quick enough. I had to take my dog straight to the emergency vet for treatment. It looked like he suffered for days. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. In response to your reply my issue was not necessarily with the kennel cough I understand it happens and was unfortunate, my issue was the unprofessional attitude firstly when we dropped him off we almost thought about not leaving him and secondly the attitude when he was picked up as he clearly had the cough for more than the day we had picked him up. The staff were rude and dismissive and brushed us off.Perhaps you could put a little training in in this area you will be happy to know that with some antibiotics and rest he came good after a week but no one from your organisation bothered to follow up and i guess my concern is your lack of interest in animal welfare. We also never received any information what so ever regarding the kennel cough you claim to have handed out and further more we were never made aware of the kennel cough in the facility when he was picked up yet when we rang up to make you aware of it it was then you mentioned about the other dog that was there well before our dog was picked up.Perhaps we will just leave it there as a bad experience and hopefully we can learn something from it. Best of luck in the future.

My dog loves this place. He is always happy on drop off and pick up. We use the kennels for day care while we work, so he is not left at home alone. The team are friendly and show genuine care for my dog. My dog seems to really like the hoomans that work there too. Thanks guys.
