Albany Central Apartments

Had an absolutely great experience here, the manager/owner Julian was fantastic, helping me out when I had unexpectedly arrived late and not seen my welcome text! The apartment was everything we needed, clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and good amenities. I do want to point out that the owner has gone above and beyond leaving things such as locally sourced roasted and ground coffee and chocolate in the apartment as well as detailing a list of things which are must sees in Albany. Can hands-down recommend this place and can honestly say this will be my preferred accommodation for future Albany visits!

In town on business and stayed in Apt2.Just perfect!Had everything I needed; loved the roasted coffee and cafetière thank you. Would definitely look to stay here again next time.Suggestions for improvements:There were heavy-footed people in the apartment upstairs which ‘clanged’ the metal light in the bedroom ceiling.A lamp in the lounge would be a nice touch rather than having to have one of the main lights on in the evening.

Pros: Great location, spacious, well appointed, clean, easy service and plenty of parking.Cons: overly soft bed and lacking warm lighting.The location is probably the best things about these apartments. It is within walking distance from the town centre, great restaurants and attractions. Apartment #1 was just right for 2 people.Getting in and out of the apartment was a breeze - all self-service. The apartment smelled strongly of bleach when we got in, and it looked (and smelled) like the shower and toilet had been cleaned thoroughly. Had to leave the doors open for awhile before the smell dissipated. The kitchen had all the necessities - spoons, forks, knives, kettle, cups, tea, coffee, fridge with small freezer compartment. There's even ground coffee, a coffee press and some Lindt chocolate. Reverse cycle air conditioning made sure we were comfortable. The apartment had lots of natural lighting during the day and the blinds could be closed at night.Unfortunately, not quite 5 stars. Two improvements would make it 5 stars: a firmer bed and some warm lights.The soft beds were too soft and really bad for our backs. Our bottoms sunk into the bed and we felt slightly curled up whether we lay on our backs or sides After the second night, my wife opted to sleep on the floor. We're very light (we each weight less than 65kgs) and only in our 30s! I'd opt for a less central location over a bad back while travelling.All the lights are strong white and very functional, even the bedside table lamps. Some warm lighting might make the bedroom area a bit more cosy.

A very well maintained and clean apartment. This particular unit is suitable for people with a mobility disability. The doors are slightly wider and the bathroom has rails at the toilet and a seat/bench in the shower. The sofa bed is a bit worn and uncomfortable as you can feel the springs. The kitchen practically has everything you need for a short stay.

Firstly 5star rating for location. Secondly 5star rating for furniture and other kitchen appliances and accessories. However when we entered the apartment, horrific smell destroyed that vital first impression. At first we thought that apartment was not used for a while and once we open all windows and doors that smell will go away. However once we went to bed the intensity of that terrible smell was even stronger. Honestly, we havent slept for the duration of our stay ( thanks God 2 nights only). We stayed with my parents in 2 bedroom apartment. Their room was just the same as ours. Carpets are simply too old and dirty full of dust. Please note for people with asthma and or small kids consult first with agency whether they have apartments without carpets as this is definitely health hazard. Many thanks .Natasha

Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was great, beds super comfy ,very old building but done up really well.Location was great the only thing i would add would be reverse cycle in the individual bedrooms as if you shut the door you have nothing .Would stay again

Stayed in u1. Very small, musty smell. Good location. Bed ok. Front door heavy and awkward, you wouldn't want to be frail or unsteady on your feet!! Would probably consider looking elsewhere next time.

We had a lovely stay at this extremely clean and fresh apartment. Very central and well equipped! Definitely worth the price!
