Van friendly which is a huge plus and was a super nice place to swim. The jetty was cool and we saw a stingray and off to the right is a really cute cove perfect for a quick dip. Saw lots of starfish and the rocks were so sick!

A small boat ramp round the side of Salmon Rocks beach area. Beautiful coloured rocks and a good place for launching small boats.

Salmon Rocks Boat Ramp
A couple of hours drive East of Melbourne, it’s probably too far to go without an overnight trip. Orbost is your closest town to get good accommodation, but you can camp nearby if you wish. The West beach gorgeous and there are often surfers making the most of the breaks, the Salmon Rocks are a nice sight and offers some good opportunities for photography though can get crowded in the summer.The eastern beach is not great, but if you go there and walk a little but towards the cape, there are some really picturesque coves.Worth checking out, but it’s essentially the only thing out that way.

Salmon Rocks Boat Ramp
If you've got a bicycle, ride from Marlo to here and soak in the serenity of this beautiful piece of coastline. The pink granite boulders against the turquoise sea at the boat ramp are a fitting reward for your efforts to get here. Make sure you wander out onto the pier and stand amidst the rolling waves.
