It was a very nice quiet clean & well provided camp site. I was parked quietly in my car and a kookaburra flew down & sat next to my car..then hopped onto my open door! It was incredible to have him so close ....so that I could quietly study him & take photos. Great opportunity.

A great spot for a picnic. Has a spot on the creek wit a sign that says Pontoon. I didn't actually see the pontoon but I'll take their word for ot that its there.A family of very photogenic Kokaburras were in attendance but no food stealing.Ill see if I can find some of my wifes photos an stick them on here

A favourite spot. The picnic area is superb. Plenty of good walking trails, especially those leading down the creek towards Sawtell. The only negative feature was the number of mosquitoes which are currently in plague proportions. Still enjoyed our walk very much but must remember the aeroguard next time.....

Great spot for picnics, walking and great spot letting young kids run around . Fishing or kayaking can be done from the pontoon. The park has sheltered BBQs and tables Has also wheelchair access toilets.Its a truly beautiful spot minutes from town.

Bongil picnic area
Well thought out picnic area, a pontoon close by allows easy access to the water and fishing or to launch a kayak. In amongst the trees in the national park it's a beautiful shady area and very pretty. Definitely recommend visiting for a picnic, bushwalk, fishing or kayaking.
