LEAD Childcare Bundaberg

I recently had the opportunity to visit this Child Care facility and I was very impressed with the positive attitude and enthusiasm of the new Director (Kieran). The rooms were large and filled with light. The children were all smiling and engaged. All age groups seem to be present and yummy smells were eminating from the kitchen. Judy

I could not recommend Lead Bargara enough to families. Offering a long day service and outside school hours care, Lead can support you and your family by providing a safe, enriching, nurturing environment for your child. Lead offers a great balance of education and play, letting kids be kids to grow, play and explore. The educators are brilliant, working to incorporate each child's interests in group time and play. Lead offers a fantastic meal plan, with meals cooked on site. A recently renovated yard, has allowed for loads of different play opportunities for the kids to explore in a safe and friendly environment.My child is in safe hands at Lead Bargara.

This centre has changed from recent years in a very positive way! The centre manager, Raelee, shows a real passion towards the service, the educators but more importantly its children and families. The outdoor space is amazing and set up for any child’s imagination to run wild and encourage spontaneous learning! Would recommend this centre to any family who is looking for a home away from home feel and to feel included!

This review pertains to Lead Childcare BargaraParents Beware!This centre is one that should be avoided. In my opinion, the staff turnover is significantly high that fosters a transient environment for the children. In the 8 months my child attended, we lost both educators in the junior kindergarten room. These two women were outstanding and a testament to childcare at its finest. They, along with the other quality staff, were pushed out the door. Rather than rising to a higher standard it seems as though politics prevailed and it was easier to get rid of them. I counted 4 kindergarten teachers in a calendar year. Imagine the disruption to these children’s learning as well as their emotional health? Additionally, there has also been several other staffing changes through the centre and I am positive that there will be plenty more; in keeping with their theme of confusing the children. The kindergarten class last year followed ZERO curriculum and is grossly underprepared for prep. Head office, management and staff take zero responsibility for this and think it is acceptable to pass the buck onto existing (and less qualified) staff. There is a constant flow of new staff coming in that is “studying”. Management refuses to take accountability and when asked how we should proceed with children losing the educators that they have bonded with. Their response, “They will just have to create a bond with someone else”. While children are resilient, this response struck a cord in me. If these are the principles that they are embracing, I want no part. Additionally, how are these little ones expected to form new bonds when their in a yard full of strangers!?I witnessed several accounts of mishandling that included both my child as well as others and do not feel adequate action was taken. I am a very switched on parent who wants what is best for my son and with all the wrongful dismissals, lack of prioritising the children and poor communication with families, I could no longer in good conscience continue attending. They are a sub-par service that fail to close the gap between their lack of direction/experience and what they value themselves (what they charge). You do not get what you are promised even though you pay thousands of dollars for it.

We highly recommend this daycare to all in Bargara. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating to both ours and our child’s needs. The activities and curriculum are well balanced with play and education, and meal plan provided is outstanding! One less thing we need to worry about throughout the working week.Great setting for any little mind.

I first met Raelee when my premie son needed a day care mum for me to go back to work and she was everything I could have dreamed of. She cared for my little man like her own and kept me up to date when I had to go back to work. I couldn't recommend her enough I would entrust my son with her any day of the week with no hesitation.
