Orange Mechanical

When the gearbox in my car started playing up. I rang Lionel from Orange Mechanical hoping he could look at it for me as it was very short noticed, and not only did he fit me in, he also looked at the gearbox free of charged and made sure to keep cost to the minimum. If you are looking for a very reliable, trustworthy, good mechanic an reasonable priced. Lionel the one to go too. 100% happy with the experienced I had and would recommend Lionel to anyone who is looking for a great mechanic.

It seems a good mechanic by all the reviews but this is my experience.I found a worker in the workshop and I approced him and he told me he wasn't working there, but he said to step forward saying that the mechanic was inside a room at the side, I did 2 steps and the mechanic also owner of the workshop saw me and by standing up from the chair put the finger straight up towards the exit and with not polite way at all asking me to get out, he knows what the other guys said to me.I answered to him he could have said it in a nicer way and he answer that he own the business like saying (I do and I say what I want).So I left straight away.If he was visible from the front door all of this couldn't have happened!I do consider myself very polite and I don't like bullism or razzism cause I have an Italian accent and I had many bad experiences with mechanics here in Australia.

We drove up from Sydney afterwork on the 23rd December and our radiator gave way... we called every mechanic in Orange and no one would give us time of day... Lionel on the other hand was an absolute champion and kept his shop open on Xmas Eve to help us out!!Even with the last minute request his prices were very reasonable and the work was solid!Great little business run by a properly nice and honest bloke! Cheers mate you saved our Xmas holiday plans!! You're a Legend!

Not only handy to where I work, but quality workmanship and knows his stuff. Didn't charge for diagnosis of a problem on my car, and was just over $300 cheaper than the dealership to fix. For as long as I work in Orange, my car and my wife's car will be serviced there.

My car broke down outside of Orange while visiting on the weekend. Lionel came in even though the shop was closed and quickly took a look and fixed it up so that we could get back on the road. He was extremely courteous and helpful.

Completely non-communicative. Say they will call back with a quote and don't. No one answering phone during open hours. Going elsewhere, imagine trying to get an update on a job with communication like this.

Lionel, an absolute legend of a man! The number of times I've had mechanics look at me (and my car) and say no thanks is extremely common. I have for the last 5.5 years owned and run Volkswagen Touaregs. Lionel listened to my concerns and provided me with his findings, and gave me a very detailed list of works done on the invoice. I couldn't be happier with his work, and I will continue to use Lionel in the future. Very happy customer. Thank you!!

Lionel. That's the name. The name of the mechanic I go to every year for my registration check. I've really hit hard times lately and he's there for me. He'll tell me what needs to be done then I'll do what I can. If ever I find myself in the money. I'll definitely throw a few thousand his way and say Lionel. Work your magic my man". He in my humble opinion is that good. You know this because he's good to you during the hard times."
