Les Bistronomes
The quality was not consistent. Amuse-bouche were beautiful, as was the mushroom cappuccino. The salmon was beautifully cooked, but a little overwhelmed by the citrus. My piece had a full fish bone plus a small piece of bone.The terrine was lovely, as was the lamb, but my lamb also had a sliver of bone.The berry sorbet palate cleanser was strongly flavoured, and accompanied by an alcoholic foam.Dessert was very disappointing. The passionfruit sorbet was well executed, but unpleasantly sweet (even for the sugar-phile). The coconut sorbet was delicious, but the chilli explosion was large and had to go into our mouths intact, then was just so very hot.Our water glasses were often left empty, including after a wine top-up.Not returning, sadly.

Chef Clément Chauvin and his team (Sommelier Chris, Antonio, Beth and others) at Les Bistronomes never cease to impress.The food is spectacular. Well presented and absolutely delicious. The culinary degustation takes you on a journey. Clément is so attentive to detail. Sommelier Chris pairs the perfect wines with the different courses.There are many top restaurants in Canberra that serve delicious food - but it’s not ONLY about delicious food. It’s about customer service, personal service and a food journey that will not disappoint. They ABSOLUTELY get the saying « there is no « I » in TEAM. They are exceptionally attentive to their service and ensuring the diner is fully satisfied.The variety in the menu and the ever amazing SATURDAY lunch dégustation is always on point.If you want a food experience like no other, my wife and I highly recommend Les Bistronomes. And YES - we’d love to join you.Bon appétit!

Great service, nice food, kingfish was fresh; chicken breast was so tender that I didn't even realise that was chicken breast.Definitely will be back.

Consistently incredible food and highly skilled, friendly service. This is one of our absolute favourite fine dining establishments and definitely one of the very best restaurants in all of Canberra. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful hidden gem. Don’t be put off by the suburban location.Amazing French cuisine in a nice stylish setting, and the most charming service.We were a group of 5 and chose the 6-course degustation menu. Amazing value!Every single course was superb - gorgeous presentation and beautiful flavour. The duck liver pate was a piece of art. And the dessert soufflé was so incredibly delicious! Wow. Perfect way to round out the meal.Excellent wine list, and very reasonably priced too. We had a delicious French rosè which was so good.Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing Frech cuisine. We had the degustion which was everything we hoped and more - the flavours were amazing. The beef bourguignon was exceptional. Will definitely be back and next time will do the matched wine as well. This was the perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary ❤️

Absolutely fallen in love with this place. From service to the atmosphere to food, everything was incredible. Of course, food is amazing, including starters, mains, and desserts. We had the duck confit to share. Duck meat was so tender and not dry at all. The gravy and pickled cabbage that came as sides was so good as well. For desserts, we had the chocolate soufflé and creme brulee. Both were very delicious but the chocolate soufflé really surprised us. Everything has exceeded my expectations really. We will definitely go back to try their beef Wellington.
