Bendigo UFS Pharmacies - 24 hour Supercare Pharmacy

Used the drive through service tonight. Eva and the Pharmacist were amazing. Provided fantastic advice, gave me the medication I needed and made it an easy transaction for someone in a lot of pain.

I called into UFS Eaglehawk a couple of months ago but I was ignored. It seems their dispensary is first priority as every staff member seemed to be in there and only came to the counter when payment was being made for scripts. So I drove to Amcal White Hills where I was served promptly and they advised on suitable vitamins to purchase to comply with my GP's request . I called UFS View St around 1am tonight wanting to clarify possible side effects of a medication because a family member was feeling unwell. This was because I read online that; Supercare Pharmacies are a Victorian Government initiative, providing afterhours healthcare advice and treatment in locations across Victoria. Instead I got a pharmacist (well I assumed he was) who talked over the top of me, told me he could not advise about side effects only a doctor could. He rushed through the call as if he dislikes answering questions or maybe he has limited knowledge and skills, so feeling out of his depth, he played the 'only a doctor can advise' card. When I enquire of such things at Amcal White Hills I get professional service which includes a thorough answer. Hmmm, twice I have tried UFS and it has been a very substandard experience each time. Not sure this is what the Vic Govt Initiative meant by helping Victorians.

Long wait time (over an hour for 2 common items on a script) but nice staff

Typically staff are all very friendly and helpful. Only 24 hour chemist in Bendigo. Nurse on site 6pm-10pm daily - walk in service.The chemist does get very busy which can cause extended wait periods to have prescriptions filled, however, they will text when scripts are ready to be collected.

2 weeks ago attended UFS view street Bendigo to purchase a vitamin supplement (metagenic) and i needed some advise also. I was advised the person who dealt with those products went home unwell and she would call me. Absolutely fair enough. I was also advised i would need a script. I didnt receive a phone call. I went back today and asked to speak with the person who dealt with the products and advise what had occurred. I was told I'd need a script (which I can get) I said I wanted to discuss the products with the person as I was unsure what I needed. I was again told get a script. I felt unheard, unable to access information I needed and the staff member manner was rude and condescending. I did not raise my voice, nor was I rude in any way. No apology on behalf of UFS for not receiving a return call after 2 weeks. I have spoken with my health professional who i called immediately on leaving and who sent me there and I will get it directly from them and pay the additional shipping when it arrives. I will no longer shop at UFS, not that it will effect them in any way but I was so upset by the interaction .

Much like has been said on bad experiences I have read through, gate keeping attitude, never in my life have I had any issues with a Pharmacy. The staff & pharmacist obviously have a superiority complex with doctors.

Old short lady at the door stared at me the whole time I was in there giving me rude looks moved around the store to watch me then accused me of walking out with a paw paw lip balm id brought in with me. Everyone else was lovely but the grumpy old one at the door needs to go
