I would highly recommend Richard, Andrew, Patrick and the Housespec team to anyone wanting to renovate. The team are reliable, flexible, and very patient when it came to hiccups along the way that come with renovating a 100 year old house in the inner north. The team were very professional, A grade quality work from the team themselves to the contractors engaged along the way. We are very impressed with our finished house that is now a lovely home.

I used Housespec Builders for a 3 unit development and would not hesitate using them again or recommending to friends.Both Richard and Andrew were very helpful and professional; from willing to visit me in person to discuss the quote in the early stages, to working beyond the scope of works to navigate the many bureaucratic roadblocks that seemed to regularly appear along the way.Richard was always quick to answer any questions I had and gave me regular progress updates throughout the build.Overall build quality is excellent, even with a build of this size only a few very minor issues had to be corrected. Definitely worth chatting to them if you are considering a build or renovation.

When I was looking to build for the first time, I spoke to three building companies. However it was Andrew and Richard from Housespec that impressed me and put me at ease right from the word go. I found them to be approachable and also very patient in answering my many questions. Their quote was also competitively priced and they were fair and transparent with me throughout the build. Any concerns or issues during the build were also promptly dealt with or addressed to my satisfaction. Their onsite project manager Patrick was also a pleasure to deal. I would have no hesitation in recommending Housespec or using them again.

I have done 3 build projects with HOUSESPEC builders, ranging from new residential unit developments and a renovation of a dental clinic (see pictures attached). I have found Richard and Andrew both to be very prompt, reliable, flexible, fair and approachable. I would not hesitate to use them again and am very happy with the final result. Building and renovating comes with many challenges and you need to be able to deal with people who are fair, reliable and honest. Both Richard and Andrew are these kinds of people. And no, I didn't get paid to do this review. It is a genuine reflection of my experience with them so far.

We engaged Housespec to renovate our 90 year Brunswick weatherboard with a heritage overlay. We couldn't be happier with the result, our old house has been transformed into a beautiful warm, light filled space. The build quality and attention to detail is excellent. Richard and Patrick were very responsive to any issues or questions along the way and made the process easy for us non builders to navigate, especially through the ups and downs of Covid. I highly recommend Housespec to anyone interested in building or renovating and wanting a professional job done.

We used Housespec Builders for a knockdown rebuild of our old weatherboard house in Oakleigh and could not be happier with our modern Hamptons style dream home. Having never built or renovated before we feel incredibly lucky that we chose Housespec for the project. What a team, Richard, Andrew and Patrick our Project Manager were all wonderful to deal with. We were kept updated throughout the whole build and provided with progress photos. Patrick was amazing and we appreciated his knowledge and advice. We experienced no dramas, the build was so efficient and the quality of Housespec's work is second to none. We would not hesitate to recommend Housespec to anyone who is looking for a efficient and reliable builder.

Highly recommended! Reliable, flexible, and very patient! We have contacted many builders for our 1st building project, but only Andrew from Housepac, provided the best prompt communication, details quotation with a fair price, and patiently answer all our questions throughout the build. Our project is definitely not a easy one for our 1st attempt, but Andrew & Richard are able to come up with solutions to minimize extra cost. Their trademen are all first class and easy to due with. My friends all very impressed with their workmanship. The after build services are great too! They will follow up promptly any problems or repairs if needed. I think we might have given it up, or cost much more and longer to finish the build without the help of Housepac. Definitely would build it again with Housepac!
