Gibson's Pet Friendly Accommodation

So glad we managed to get a booking at relatively late notice with our pup! Love the location as we can walk everywhere (and stretch the calf muscles and hammies on the way home!). And the views from the lounge are to die for! Thank you once again for a fabulous property.

Lovely big house my only complaint is that the bed in the master bedroom is really hard, needs a mattress topper as I had sore hips from sleeping on it. It was great to be able to take our new puppy

A recent stay at Kira Kira townhouse was left soured simply because we couldn't lock the front door! In fact we couldn't even shut the front door. I would have thought that the security of the guests and guest belongings would be a high priority for an accommodation provider? The key was in the front lock box but we never used it once in our 3 day stay because when we arrived the door was wedged closed with a piece of cardboard. It was reported to Gibson's Pet Friendly within the first half hour of our arrival but was explained away that apparently security is no problem in Agnes Waters. Bit hard to swallow really, so the long and the short of it is every time we left the townhouse everything we had of value had to either come with us or be locked in the car, and we had to sleep knowing the door didn't close properly or lock because of the broken handle. And to top it all off the back sliding glass door that leads out to the deck doesn't lock either! It has an internal sliding bolt that is supposed to lock into the frame but that is clearly a job for the maintenance crew as well.Sorry Gibson's but when I pay $330 a night I expect to be able to lock the doorPS >There are several Locksmiths in Gladstone as well as Boyne Island and there is more than one in Bundaberg.

We stayed 7 nights at the Paper Bark Retreat. Securely fenced Paper Bark Forest with paths around and across for our dog Taffy to explore and share with us. Huge decks for morning and evening relaxing as well as all mod cons inside. Perfect!

We stayed in Kira kira and loved the spacious open plan living and ocean views. We had everything we needed and were close to shops and beach. We were sent a map with dog friendly info which was super helpful and a lovely touch. Would stay here again.

The balcony was amazing with a beautiful view of the ocean. The house was spacious and the layout was great. The living room all very open with ocean views. Short walk to the beach. Bbq on the balcony (although not clean) and the dishwasher was great. The house was somewhat clean, the bedroom blinds were grotty, dog hair in sheets( can be expected I guess), the vaccum cleaner and broom both broken which made cleaning difficult. The lock box was extremely difficult to open and close and took 4 of us to get it open. We did lose power and hot water due to a blown fuse. The supplied salt/pepper was basically empty. The bed wasn't great.

We stayed at Paperbark with our Kelpie.This place was perfect and we absolutely loved it. It had everything you need for a getaway.We felt so relaxed staying here with our dog. She could run free around the huge garden. She loved the pond too.There was almost no need to leave the house. It was so tranquil and I recommend that anyone considering staying here should do themselves a favour.I could go on forever about how much we enjoyed our time here. It’s almost too good to tell anyone about because I don’t want to share this hidden gem.Thanks for having us!

We stayed at Paperbark Couples Retreat and it was perfect. From the moment we arrived we instantly relaxed and didn't want to leave. Our dogs had a fantastic time and we didn't have to worry about them because it was fully fenced. Hard finding a pet friendly place for larger dogs but this great place ticked all the boxes. We will definitely stay there again.

Highly recommend, beautiful accommodation in the perfect location. Doggo loved it as much as we did. Already booked for next year, thank you Gibson’s X
