Friendly service ,female owner very helpful friendly & obliging.Food did not stack up overall.Large serves, but obviously cooks not chef.atlantic salmon, not crispy as on menu. Other dishes incorrectly cooked except for nice Asian omelette .

Midweek lunch, good variety on the menu. Nicely prepared, pleasant staff and reasonable price. I had garfish and chips. Would have appreciated a small salad on the side and a few less chips, but that’s probably just me.Lots of vintage photos around the pub from the local area.Interesting little town once you’re off the main thoroughfare. Walked around the streets to the start of the “Walk the Yorke” trail down by the water was definitely worth the time.

Little old style pub with great meals and friendly, fast service. Small menu but are all cooked to perfection, will return.

Lovely staff on an apparently unusually busy Wednesday. We were still well looked after with a great attitude all round. Food was generously portioned, fresh and tasty. Will definitely be going back on our next road trip.

The Rising Sun, 11/10Greeted at the door as we got out the car with the dog, informed they are pet friendly.Fantastic beer garden, large open entertainment area.. toys, games + playground equipment for the kids.Decent meals with decent pricingMade a great Sunday lunch. Definitely will be back!!

Typical country pub have to know where it is to find it. Family atmosphere lts bigger than it looks. Excellent steaks and salad bar. Go there again happily

Come here for an awesome feed. The rissoles followed up with apple tart is divine. Kitchen opens at 6pm.
