The stone hut style accommodation here is everything you need but don't expect luxury. These huts are for adventurers, people who are out every single day enjoying nature. Not sitting inside watching TV (there's no TV and no reception). The view from the accommodation is next level. The activites in Gnaraloo are endless if you have a 4wd. Be prepared if it's hugely storming outside and high winds to get a little dust or a small water drip by the door. Again, it's nothing you would worry about as you are too busy having the time of your life.

Gnaraloo is a great place to get off the beaten track for a while. Don't go if you want barista coffee and mobile service. Do go if you like to be off the grid in rustic surrounds.

Favourite stay of the trip. The stone cabins are so well designed, blocks the wind for peaceful sleeping.Stunning view, gorgeous landscape to sit and soak up while you’re having your coffee

Very unique campsite. Definitely felt like we were roughing it but honestly more facilities than we were expecting as there were hot showers and running water for dishes. Amazing views as we were camping right on the cliff. The beaches were amazing, we liked to start at one side of the little bay and be pushed along by the current over the top of a nice little reef. Only down side was the wind but obviously that can’t be helped. Would recommend to anyone looking for a real camping experience.

Poor telephone information regarding the booking procedure, down playing the condition of the road, definitely not suitable to towing a caravan, enough to age your vehicle by ten years, and give you grey hairs!

Awesome trip w the family. Cabin 6 was so good. Thanks to Colleen for putting us in there. A short walk through the gully and over the sand dunes and we had the whole beach to ourselves. We watched the whales playing from the kitchen window and while we had dinner outside around the fire. Cabin was clean and everything we could have asked for. Will be back next year.

I booked 5 nights at $180 per night. Prior to visiting I had checked out the video on Gnaraloo Homestead and spoken with staff remarking how I was looking forward to a stone house on the beach. It was what I was looking for but not what I found it to be. The way it is advertised I thought I was getting a beach home to use. However on arrival there was a large 44 gallon drum blocking the entrance to the check-in house. I called out and Coleen who works there came out and gave me the run down on the place and what I could do. I started to get a sinking feeling this is not what I was after. I had told Coleen on the phone I wanted a beach experience. So I went to check out house no. 12 which was very spacious had a balcony like was shown on the video but when I looked out over the balcony there was a high gully full of goats and large sanddunes then a glimpse of the Ocean. I also realized I would have to drive each day to get to any beach to snorkel and swim at. After two nights I had had enough this place was to boring. I went to the 3 Mile Lagoon Camp and met Sue who suggested why don't I stay in one of there lots. It was then arranged for me for the lady 3 nights and I was in Paradise Sue gave me lot 5 which was right across from the Lagoon the cost for each night was wait for it only $20 a night. This was what I was after. Instead of costing $900 I would have only had to pay $100 for the 5 nights. Coleen said they would transfer $60 to cover my nights but no refund for the rest. My Advise stay at 3 Mile Lagoon Camp instead great atomphere, had a shop, u can get internet for a small cost, there are toilets and showers ther also. Coleen was a lovely lady and very helpful but the homestead was a waste of money completely. Very disappointed. Some other people I spoke to felt the same about the homestead. Happy days will return to 3 Mile Lagoon Camp it's the best.

WARNING! If you decide to stay here please be advised that the road in and out is in terrible condition! The almost 100kms of unsealed road took me 5 hours to get through. (20Kms an hour) if you have a nice car I definitely do not recommend you stay.If however you have an old 4X4 and don’t care too much about it then wouldn’t be so bad. Also be aware that to get to the beach in your car from the accommodation is also a terrible drive on a shocking road for 6km but takes almost half an hour. The beaches were beautiful!Cabin views amazing!Cabins very basic with only a fridge and cooker, microwave and lights. No heating, no cooling, no TV, no power after 10pm a at night until the following morning.

Beautiful destination but journey in ....miles of corrugations. Also 2 sharks only metres from shore was a bit freaky.
