Red Earth Opal
Great Opal mine tour experience. Down to 30-40 feet, understanding how Opal is found and demonstration on how the equipment and tools are used. So many interesting stories shared. It can be quite chilly down there although it’s scorching hot on the surface. Tour can be up to 2.5 - 3 hours long so worth every dollar spent. Definitely the highlight of my White Cliffs trip.

Fantastic place. The coffee shop is great with lots to see or buy. The coffee shop owner also has a huge dug out mine and he does tours. We took the mine tour at 3pm the same day and were completely blown away. Graham really knows his stuff, he is so knowledgeable and a great speaker. We had a great time exploring his dug out that is huge by the way. He is a funny guy and definitely knows his stuff. It was a pleasure to meet him

We enjoyed a lovely coffee here before the tour. The showroom and cafe has a relaxing atmosphere and plenty to look at on display. Graham's tour is fantastic and we can wholeheartedly recommend you do it. You will learn alot, have a few laughs and get some great photos. We did the tour the afternoon we rolled into town and it helped put perspective on the way of life out there. One thing that can't be faked is the locals enthusiasm for where they live. 5 stars for a great tour experience!

The tour is once in a lifetime experience ,very informative and new . Definitely worth doing it, would also recommend the blacklight tour ,it was a great experience , got something to keep for life time, Noah and Graham are really good at what they do ,exceptional .

Second time here in three visits to WC. Did the tour again and it didn't disappoint. Really great place to go to and great people there invested in the White Cliffs community and town. Highly recommended.

Amazing. Had a fantastic mine tour. Graeme is very professional and has a great sense of humour. He shows you everything it takes to be an opal miner. His tours go for around 2 hours and are great value for money. The tour is suitable for all ages. No climbing or steps involved. I had so much fun learning. His cafe and show room are amazing.Also did the blacklight tour with Noah. Again professional and a lot of fun in a safe environment. Using the blacklight to locate opal (mostly potch) in piles of ground from the fields. There is always a chance you might find a valuable piece.Thanks guys for making White Cliffs more interesting.

Exceptional business. Delicious food, coffee and brilliant service. Fabulous environment surrounded by an opal orientated gallery/museum/shop. The shop merchandise consists of stunning and unique pieces. The hosts are customer service focussed, professional and hugely knowledgeable. Highly recommended AAA+++

Was expecting a 45-60 minute tour underground for the price however it was probably the best value tour I've done. $25, only downside was how many other people were there! At least 30 others.Tour went for nearly 3 hours, starting in the shop with a talk about different kinds of opal and how its formed and where its found and a history about the town.Then a short 2 minute drive (in your own car) to the mine. I think we spent about 2 hours in the mine looking around and getting stories and jokes along the way.Very entertaining, and he's not as scary as he was on TV when the pineapple opal got smashed in half. Definitely recommend the tour!
