I am not one usually post a review but felt compelled after our experience with Australian Benchtop Specialists. If I can save others the headache of ever having to deal with such an unprofessional outfit, it's worth it.It was simply the most disreputable and incompenent services I have ever experienced. There were extended delays, sub-par workmanship, gaslighting, excuse after excuse, lying and insults.We had chosen Corian for our bechtops as we were after a seemless join across all surfaces. Our carpenter for our renovation subcontracted the work to ABS. The initial delay on the original installation date should have been a warning sign but after further delays and excuses, they finally came and installed the benchtops. Unfortuanetly when we got home that afternoon, we found that the benchtops were incorrectly measured and were not flush with the space, there were gaps in parts of the benchtop, missing plywood, warping and clearly visable join lines. After speaking to the owner, he finally came out to have a look and admitted that they were not up to standard and should never have been installed. He blamed his apprentice for the dodgy work and said he would take care of it. They came back and took the benchtops away to fix them. More excuses were given when they could not commit to when they would be back to finally re-install them. The owner mentioned there were other jobs that they had to also fix and we would just have to wait. A few weeks later, they were back to finally re-install the benchtops. I came home from work to oversee what they were doing as I clearly did not trust them at this stage. Once they were done, I pointed out yet more visable join lines and gaps that had not been siliconed. At this point it got heated, the owner tried convincing me that he could not see any join lines, started abusing and insulting me (actually name calling like in school!) and threatening me to smash all of the benchtops up and take them away as he was over it". I asked him to leave and made a complaint to Corian itself. A rep came out and assessed the work. They regretted what had occured and acknowledged how ABS conducted themselves was not becoming of their brand.Anyway
