I went to see @amandapalmer at this Absolutely Gorgeous little theatre. All the bells and whistles. It is a beautiful place. And Amanda was a Wonderful, Powerful show to see there.

I’m local & not a huge theater goer so hadn’t seen the massive renovations! Oh my! A really classy, massive bar, foyer & amenities reno has been done to complement the gorgeous, historic theater. It used to be tough to get a drink or loo at intermission but this is fixed & beautiful & will be going again.

I had 2 Premium seats in the Dress circle, (second row back from the front) but that still didn't give me a good view of the stage as the 2 women in front restricted the view by at least half. And the Temperature of the Environment got too Hot for me to handle.!

Wonderful old theatre, the atmosphere of days gone by as your climbing the steps up to the dress circle level, before you enter the theatre here they have and are completing new areas, this area with bar, flows just right between the old and new. Seats are comfortable, wider than I imagined. Handy hint don't go booking the cheaper seats in this area, the ones advertised as restricted viewing area as your can't see if performance has top level scenes and in some seats you have restricted viewing from poles.Next time I'm booking the better seats.

We had hoped to catch a show at the Theatre Royal while in Hobart but unfortunately it was cancelled. Nonetheless we decided to have a look at the beautiful old building. It must have been spectacular in its heyday!

We watched a lovely show, all staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the newly renovated Entry and reception.

A brilliant theatre. A classic old school theatre but recently renovated with all modern facilities. We recently saw Velvet Rewired and, in July, we will see the Freddie Mercury show.
