Easy to moderate hike with a stunning view. It took maximum an hour to walk to the lookout. There is a bench located near the lookout to rest and chat.

Burleigh Head National Park
Best spot on the area for family picnic, waking track to the lookout point (45min to an hour on the hill) gives you best views. Shaded areas with trees. Can see gold coast skyline in the distance. Evening and night time view is good too.

Love this place anytime of the day and year. Enjoy walking through the bushland and looking over the beautiful sea views. There are plenty of space for a picnic or just relax and chill listening to the lapping of the waves. It is one of the great spot to watch the sun going down and to take some photos.

Date of visit: Sat 13 May 2023Time : 8.45 amTime flies and things have changed. Off-road parking is no longer free and couldn’t find one free lot in the free car park, as it looks a popular place for many locals and surfers and it’s crowded.Paid parking is done by keying your car registration number, specifying the no of hours and paying it by credit card.Long ago I did the coastal walk 1 with my wife so this day I tried the rainforest circuit 3. The debut from Burleigh Heads was a bit steep with some steps but after it’s quite easy walking on well paved bitumen track and rolling terrain. 2 lookouts to enjoy the view.I ended at the Southern entrance (road bridge side) and doubled back. There is another free car park at the southern entrance off the Gold Coast highway.Easy walk, takes about 1 and half hours to complete the loop and enjoy the walk.

Burleigh Head National Park
A beautiful walk in the heart of spectacular Burleigh Heads. Escape the daily grind, or walk off that breakfast or lunch and take a moment in nature with spectacular views both north and south from the tranquil forest of Jellurgal. Learn about the history and significance of the area to the first peoples (Yugambeh) community through well crafted interpretive signage. For the more adventurous, cool off in Tallebudgera Creek or Burleigh Beach. Similarly, explore the creekside rocks and associated marine life around the headland. Highly recommend AAA+++
