Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors

Did the Diploma of counseling only to find out that employers want psychology degrees and social work degrees. This diploma is not recognized and out of date in my opinion. Wasted thousands on this ridiculous course only to still not find a job with it. I would gladly hand back the diploma to get a full refund AIPC!!

I had the pleasure of learning with this wonderful Institute in Carina. My experience started in 2019 with Rob, Alice, and the team. I found them all to be so encourageable , Trustworthy, and just a great bunch of people. There was always a smile and a cuppa to greet me when I would attend the Prac sessions. or pop in for some quiet time to study. The studies themselves are self-paced and so flexible. Kelly is one of the most experienced educators and I was lucky to have her for 9 out of my 10 Pracs.I am now a Qualified Counsellor and about to embark on my own Private Practice journey. I've also recently secured a casual role within a local counselling business learning hands-on what the industry is all about. I'm excited to see what 2022 has in store for me now I've Qualified, I'm grateful for this opportunity to thank Rob, Georgie, Alice, and Kelly for all of their help over the last 3 years. The diploma of counselling is very well put together for the price. The workbooks and podcasts were interesting and easy to follow. Being an online/ distance ed course it does take a lot of self-disclipine and resilience but the presence of a supportive online student community was a welcome bonus. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to start out in counselling or the human services.

I started with the AIPC self-paced study course in the DiplomaI incorporated home study and home study tutes with assessments done at home.Was so easily managed and presented with working full time and kids of my own.In unit 12 I was lucky enough to volunteer working placement with the Salvation Army for 2 years giving me support in my learning and the career I had chosen. The diploma gives you the power to be self-employed or work for another. I chose my own business where I choose how often to work, and what I charge.I have now been successfully involved in the Counselling industry since 2012.I have joined the South Australian Professional Counselling Association SAPCA and have been the president for the last 3 years as to give back to our industry and see fellow counsellors thrive. I am also able to gain award industry points through opd and Supervision through SAPCA ... I loved being on board with the AIPCThankyou AIPC for all you help and support.Michelle Price

The staff at the Institute are extremely warm and welcoming which made the study experience really enjoyable. The course is very flexible and, for those who want it, there is the option to do group tutorials, prac sessions as well as skill development sessions. The content is also very relevant.

If you are interested in best practice education in the field of counselling this is the place. The courses are at the cutting edge of research, practical and the support of supervisors and staff is outstanding.I've completed a Bachelor and an MBA, and at AIPC Brisbane I have found a standard second to none and my expectations have been surpassed. Sometimes a place just has the right ethos and people!

Loved all of my learning with AIPC. Both my Diploma of Counselling and Bachelor of Counselling. If you're interested in a counselling qualification, AIPC is my go-to recommendation.

Very friendly, helpful and responsive tutors and coordinators. The study material is informative, evidence-based and relevant. Assessments have to be practically perfect to receive a 'pass' grading, but you are given very informative marking criteria to guide you.

Without the Australian Institute of Professional Counselling my husband and I would not have our own business that employs 5 - 8 staff. We completed the Diploma which gave us 5 credits to select Universities in Australia where we completed Undergraduate Degrees, these degrees provided nothing but statistics and history. Without the AIPC diploma we would not have known where to start with Counselling clients. The structure of the course allows you to commence counselling real" people as soon as you are finished. We hire 90% of our staff from the AIPC as we know the calibre of the training and the excellent content of the Diploma/Degree. The ease in which you can study from your own home is refreshing and the staff are always friendly if you need assistance. The fact you can finish the Diploma in 1 year or 10 years is excellent

The learning experience was enjoyable, however staff can be rude and arrogant. communication is also lacking, very hard to get a hold of lectures. After reviewing my course and comparing it with other courses offered by other institutes, I see there have been gaps in the education provided. I, respectfully, advise future students to have a good look around and compare the course work.
