Riverview Motor Inn Taree

On entering our room we were met with the foulest smell of dog, I have nothing against hotels that offer pet friendly rooms, but they should not have them in every single room. We only stayed the night as the smell was so overpowering we had to find a new motel the next day. The windows were fixed and did not open so we couldn’t even air the room out, the room was not cleaned well so did not feel comfortable at all. The only upside was the ability to stream to the tv although watching my favourite show could not distract from the issues in the room. Bed needs to be thrown out, it was basically snapped in half bowing in the middle and the mattress felt 40 years old.

We were greeted with several roaches in our room and even in the bed! The place is very run down and in serious need of some sort of upkeep. The walls are literally covered in dust so if you have any allergies I wouldn't recommend staying here. I don't normally leave reviews but this was pretty gross. Musty and old with zero care in how the place is presented despite paying $150 for the night. The only reason we didn't leave was because of the 13 hour drive we had just done and this was a stop over. Don't expect the best.

No sleep. Is this a motel or a half way house? Young people coming and going all night. Swearing and slaming doors, not recommended. Big thumbs down.

On arriving my daughter and partner entered there room, and the smell was disgusting. Smelt like a wet dog and the bed was bowed in the middle. Owner/manager changed them to another room. Lots of people and their pets around. Went out came back to a rotten egg at my door with maggots oozing out of it. Advised manager/ owner and he cleaned it up. I was woken in the middle of the night to yelling, loud singing and continuous door knocking (not on my door), and the cockroach crawling on the pillow. In fact cockroaches everywhere (have pics).Second night my daughter asks me to go to her and her partners room because of some other smell. As soon as I walked in I realised that it is the smell of kitty litter.Financially we couldn’t afford to incur another cost and go to other accommodation.

Place hasn't had a clean in months or even years cockroches everywhere ,i can't sleep all night leftover food and drinks, the air conditioner does not work properly dont stay here unless you have to DO NOT RECOMMEND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Dirty room. Dirty bathroom…. Mould from top to bottom.Nothing had been cleaned. Sticky mess on the dining table.Leftover drinks in the fridgeThey say this place has gone through a huge clean. The Manager and owner lives in Sydney!Typical dirty Indian establishmentDon’t go there

Good space. Old room and experience one spider at the night. No any storing racks or robe cub boards and has to kept all in beds and floor. Just ok if you are just spend night time.Cleaning also need to improve as some plates with dirty. Barthroom door not closing properly

Large, clean, well eqiupped room with the bonus of a fantastic view of the river. And they welcomed our dog. Good value and would happily recommend

1-Way to expensive for the rooms at $150 a night with cockroach's running around the room.2-The pool was unusable3-The manager was doing noisey upgrades to concrete path right out front of rooms whilst people were there trying to relax.4-There were people coming and going from one room all day/night from permanent residents at one of the rooms. So noisy till 10.45 at night.

It gets 1 star because it's pet friendly and the staff were nice. Rooms were filthy and in need of maintenance. Things stuck to the dining table, air conditioner had parts missing, paint missing and marks all over the walls and doors, plus a mouldy bathroom, plus we spent most of the night killing random spiders walking through the room. We stayed during the recent floods and despite the website advertising $99 rooms we were charged $150, don't know if they hiked up the price to cash in on an increase in demand during the flood, but either way it's way overpriced even at $99. Looks like it's used as emergency housing as it was filled with people doing nothing but standing around outside smoking, drinking and yelling at each other. It would have been safer and more comfortable to sleep on a park bench.
