Really great place to train, great environment, challenging both mind and body. Friendly, responsible and motivating people and instructors. Instructors in particular are very experienced and knowledgeable which allows the student to gain more than just martial arts technique. They make such a useful/practical skill to learn, easy to understand the mechanics, whilst motivating you to challenge yourself in different scenarios and improve your overall fitness. The diversity of classes and workshops we can access also adds to our main discipline. Thanks CAIWA, keep up the great work!

I really enjoyed the Krav Maga classes I've done here. The instructors are very friendly and helpful, they will help suit the class to you if you have any injuries and give you tips. It's a very encouraging, supportive environment and the people in the class make you feel very welcome. A good safe space, especially for women to learn self-defence. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get out their comfort zone and try something new!

Great training environment with really attentive coaches and realistic training techniques. After 26 years of martial arts training this is the most realistic self defence training I have ever done

Amazing group of people, very supportive and great to be around. Coaches pay great attention to each and every member, assisting us with techniques to improve our skills. Been here a few weeks and it's already the place I feel more like myself. If you're wanting the right way to defend yourself and have fun and exercise at the same time, then this is the place for you.

By far the most welcoming, positive culture I have experienced in a martial arts club anywhere in the world. This is a testament to the excellent leadership at the club - it starts at the top. Plenty of activity choices to get you moving. CAIA has something for everyone.

I love it here at combat arts, I mostly do self-defence as a 1/2hr PT with Andrew and have for about 4 years. I would do more of the classes but I don't have enough time. For people who are shy...I'm a very shy person but find it to be a really welcoming environment that isn't overwhelming. Everyone here is friendly but chill so if you are shy but want to hit things, it is a great option. I have also found it has helped me become much more confident and assertive. For people who aren't super fit or don't have a super great health status...I have some chronic pain and fatigue issues which are pretty variable from day to day. Even on my worst days when just standing upright and walking are difficult, Andrew is still able to make a really fun lesson that matches where I am physically, and he doesn't make it awkward or embarrassing. On my good days then he ups the difficulty and intensity for a really good workout and will just match his lessons to where I am on the day. There are so many different self-defence techniques which suit different people, lifestyles and abilities. You can learn how to defend yourself regardless of age, size, injury or health status. In my experience, CAIA and Andrew have been able to find what works really well for me and use that as the base, and add in things I'm not as good at but still really enjoy for fitness, fun and variety.10/10 would recommend.
