Lesueur National Park
Lesueur National Park has a wide range of geological formations, landscape and soil types. These vary from salt lakes and remnant coastal dunes in the north west through to laterite ridges in the east. That is one of the motives of the huge diversity of the park's flora. The park boasts an exceptionally diverse range of flora, with more than 900 species comprising 10% of the State's known flora. Best time to visit is late winter and spring. There's a 18 km one way sealed road that takes you through the park, with regular parking spots to stop, take photos and enjoy the scenery. Several trails invite you to enjoy the scenery. There are picnic areas where you can have your lunch, with well kept facilities. There's a campground at about 12 km on the Yonga trail with a shelter rainwater tank and toilet. You need to book online. Firearms and pets are not permitted. Picking wildflowers is not allowed. And you must take your litter with you when leaving. There's an easy pay entry fee (pensioners discount). A place worth for an enjoyable experience.!

Highly recommend Yued Ponar Trail in this park. It'll take you about 2 hours to complete at a moderate pace. There are some steep sections, but it's a well kept trail and manageable for most people. Definitely recommend wearing hiking shoes! September/early October is my favourite time to go. The flowers and scenery are absolutely stunningly beautiful. An afternoon hike as the sun is coming down is gorgeous. Just be careful leaving and have a roo spotter as you will see some! This is one of my favourite places to hike in Australia. Put it on your bucket list ✨️

What a treat this NP was. A beautifully maintained drive through and a great scenic stop from where to do one of several chiices of walks - we did a 3km circuit which we absolutely loved.

Stunning place! The biodiversity is incredible! To get there, must travel on gravel roads. Don’t rely on signs to point the way - there aren’t many. The scenic drive and walking trails require a fee to be paid (Park Pass).Highly recommend this place in Spring when the flowers are at their best, but worth visiting at any time in the year.

Worth a look even though the $15 park entry seemed a bit much. Trail to the top of mount" lesueur is quite short moderately easy. Interesting bit of country I didn't know existed despite growing up in the region."

One of the most beautiful walks I've been on. Keep an eye out for the black kangaroo paw, so magical!

Fairly easy drive in on sandy road. Sealed one way road through the park with plenty of spots to pull off. A couple of longer walks in designated areas. Wild flowers are just starting to bloom.
