Highly recommended John as a very honest & trustworthy mechanic. Was trying to fix a noise that seems to be coming from the driver's side drive shaft. Been to a few places and was told some ridiculous things... one place, apparently 'masters' in the trade, wanted $1,800 to fix the noise: new engine mounts, new CV joints, and something else in the suspension! Didn't think one minute that they were right. Went to Automotive Garage and told John my story. Left the car with him and when I got back there were no more noises. He told me that there was only 2 screws to tightened on the lower arm and that's it!!! And that he couldn't possibly charge me for such a small job!I'll be servicing my car there from now on. Thanks again John.

Great, honest mechanic. Recently arrived from SA and took my car over for a pit inspection and the mechanic flagged some obvious items that required immediate attention. The mechanic raised these before the inspection and allowed me to fix the issues prior to taking the vehicle over for its inspection. A genuine, helpful and friendly business. Would highly recommend this mechanic. Thanks again!

My experience was EXCELLENT. Genuinely want to fix what is needed in a timely manner and obviously working toward doing the job well and encouraging return business. If you need an authorised inspection go here, what they say is needed will be warranted. Compare their reviews next to companies who for example sell tyres!!!

Great hidden gem, the owner is straight talking and gets to the point which i appreciate with a mechanic. Definitely recommend them. Very clean and tidy garage which is also good to see.

The only reason I chose this garage is due to the fact that they have a 4.8 rating on google reviews. They certainly did not disappoint- I came to have my car inspected , they were fantastic. 'Automotive Garage' is highly recommended by me! Cheers guys great job!

Not somewhere I would go for a vehicle inspection (I can’t comment on their mechanical work).Proudly being a car collector and having gone for over 30 vehicle inspections in the past with various cars at different workshops I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by a few things picked up on my vehicle inspection today such as two small missing bits of trim of interior trim. Apparently these are a safety hazard…There is no incentive for the private sector mechanics to pass vehicles on the first go as it would reduce business. I won’t be returning here.

Definetely not recommend, if you are planning to use their services for camper trailer inspection. I went there today with my brand new camper trailer for inspection, so I can register my camper trailer in WA. I did everything they asked me to do, when I made the booking. Unfortunately, my brand new factory output camper failde the inspection, verbally. I was vere fortunate to be bale to find another authorised inspector. And the issues raised by this plase sere in fact no issue at all. And my camper passes the inspection on the spot and got my rego. I truly do not know what to say.

My car wasn't starting and as I live locally I thought I would walk up and show them a video of what was happening. John was super helpful and told me a few things to try and if it didn't work give him a call. After trying what he suggested not working, I give them a call. John actually come to my house and checked the car and told me it was my battery, he jump started my car and said to drive it to his garage. They didn't have the battery but within an hour they got one in and fitted it. I could not recommended John enough and grateful for their speedy help!
