On our way from Canberra to Young, our annual cherry trip, we planned for a coffee and breakfast stop at magic Binalong. Cafe on queen was the obvious choice. Looks simple and feels plain and maybe first impression is not what you would get in the Canberra wonderful cafe joints. But it is a hidden gem. My steak sandwich was excellent, real locally sourced trump steak. The menu included all the classics. While we were eating the local butcher came by and asked us if we were enjoying the meats and the sausages he had made. And we more than did enjoy them. We loved them as we did the service and hospitality. We like passing through Binalong and the steak sandwich stop will now be a must.

Nice country little café, family run. Nice choice of sandwiches and food, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Just need to check when they are open as nothing else much around for getting a bite to eat when driving through.

Sitting down in the garden outside is a wonderful way to while away the day.I went for scones and a cup of tea and thought the place simply wonderful.

Lovely cafe and very family friendly. Staff were lovely and the food was excellent. They were very accommodating and able to make my son and I Gluten Free meals. Will definitely be visiting again.

You cannot drive past this wonderful cafe. The pizza is amazing (ask for the Pepperoni) and the coffee is to Canberra standard - perfect! Also, if you happen to be in the neighbourhood on the second Sunday of the month (10am-2pm), make sure to stop for a cuppa and enjoy the community market day. It is guaranteed to be a relaxing and pleasant experience.Please note: i recommend you confirm market dates over winter months - cold weather impacts planned market days.However, the Cafe on Queen is open most weekends for your enjoyment.
