Armytage House

Exceptional !!Armytage House is a beautifully restored property set in the most gorgeous gardens with a pond ,old orchard and shade trees, wonderful outdoor fire place and pizza oven.The sandstone walls, timber, polished concrete floors, beautiful windows and doors, huge bathroom with jetted tub, gabled ceiling and upstairs mezzanine bedroom are all just stunning.The house is immaculately presented .The breakfast hamper and fresh cut flowers , books on the local area are the small touches that were much appreciated.Armytage is in a rural setting but quite close to Hobart and surrounding areasif time permits take a day to do nothing, enjoy the grounds, have a picnic by the pond..... the cheeky chickens might even pay you a visit !June & Gil were wonderful hosts.Thank you

Stunning accommodation in an old historic converted barn! We stayed at Armytage House for 3 nights with close friends, and we all agreed how amazing the barn and facilities were.....we wanted to take the building home with us! Gil and June are wonderful hosts, and provided us with fresh apples, picked straight from the trees, and breakfast provisions consisting of farm fresh eggs from their gorgeous chickens, bread, cereals, bacon, homemade jams, juice, milk and butter. The accommodation is well stocked with everything you need. Lazy afternoons can be spent reading a book, from the many selections available, watching a DVD, or having a wine and cheese plater under the BBQ area. Armytage House is an easy drive into Hobart or the airport, and being on the Midland Hwy, is very accessible to all the historic towns.We loved this place, and would definitely come and stay again! Thank you Gil and June for opening Armytage House up to travellers to come and stay.Highly recommend.Alexandra.
