Went on a little journey through the city centre yesterday and I might say it was my first time on a a train like this but very clean, little noise and wheel chair accessible. You will be satisfied. A heads up It might get a busy during peak times and weekend.

I recently travelled from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour in economy and this was my experience.Customer service over the phone was brilliant, I was booking a train in a minor emergancy within an hour of the train arriving so I couldn't book online and the person who helped me was friendly, quick and understanding.Pricing, given the cost of petrol right now and the distance travelled came to about $10 an hour ($62 for the 6 1/2 hour trip), it cost about $80 petrol to travel back by car. However, seats in economy were very uncomfortable, given how long the train ride is this should be improved. I have a spinal injury and I was very sore by the time I got to destination.Speaking with regular passengers and my own experience, the food and drinks were atrocious. I only had a hot tea, the service, prices and taste were disgusting. The size of the cup was tiny, I could of gone to any cafe and purchased their largest size cheaper. The tea itself was stale and undrinkable. The person who served me hardly uttered a word and seemed annoyed I was there.A lady near me had a toddler with her and there was no food avaliable for a young child except cheese and biscuits. And a older gentleman said to avoid the hot food you can order for lunch where possible.

Totally enjoyed travelling to and from Sydney from Canberra recently. Staff were very friendly and meals and drinks we’re reasonably priced.

The staff excel in excellent customer service. Professional, upbeat and extremely helpful.Unfortunately the food is terrible I tend bring my own.

Needed to get to my embassy in Canberra with very limited time, but what's the point of planning ahead if the night before your trip is changed to a bus (because surprise, it has just been decided that the tracks need maintenance on a regular Monday) and being all the trains delayed you're still told by the staff that you were going to be late anyway".Well

I absolutely love travelling by train, and the XPT and V sets have such a comfortable and cozy setting to them. Staff are always so nice. And the train is very clean and well looked after.I personally would try the sleeper because the rooms are so lovely and tidy plus it is quite affordable for a sleeper.

I caught the train from wodonga to southern cross and compared to my prior trip years ago it was so much quicker, the trains have been updated and are so fancy compared the the old ones, there’s charger ports in the middle of the seats, foldable tables, a canteen, and overall great service!

I travelled on the service from Sydney to Brisbane and it was a nightmare. There was a bunch of drunk people and junkies on the train who were screaming and fighting for hours, and the crew didn’t seem to be bothered at all as if it was normal. After twelve hours they decided to kick them off and we could finally feel safe until we got to our destination
