Arcare Aged Care Reservoir

My mother had respite at Arcare reservoir it was organised at the very last minute and every member at the facility where accommodating and very helpful during this difficult time. The staff could not do enough to make my mum comfortable. The chef made eggplant parmigiana specially for mum with a cafeteria coffee. This was very heart felt by our family. She has not stopped talking about how delicious it was. My mother is Italian so it must have been exceptional.thank you chef Latta The care was outstanding, lifestyle people went out of there way and management caring and professional with a can do attitude and nothing was to much.thank you Arcare Reservoir.

My Dad has been at Arcare for about 18 months now and I feel that the staff know him really well. The staff are very respectful to him and engage with him in a friendly and familiar way, which Dad really appreciates. Dad’s independence is very important to him and the management and staff have really helped him keep this sense of independence. This was a big factor in choosing Arcare at Reservoir.The meals are generous with fresh salads and veggies but the staff know he’s a big meat eater and adjust his meals accordingly, which is great. Second helpings are encouraged.Management is very approachable and have always responded quickly and positively to our requests.Thank you Arcare staff for taking such good care of our Dad.

Disrespectful staff especially the manager don’t fall for her pretending to be respectful when she isn’t. Do NOT send your loved one here as I’ve seen serious medication errors occur due to them allowing carers not nurses to administer medications and many residents neglected and back stabbed by staff cos they try take control of them. I hope this business crumbles. ALL ARCARE FACILITIES ARE BEYOND TERRIBLE, THERE ARE WAY BETTER ONES OUT THERE.

I am currently living in Arcare Reservoir.I am happy to stay here and service is very nice. Staff are very courteous. Staff keeps checking me night time to make sure I am all right. Cleaner is very nice as well.

Employee promotion is zero....doesn't matter how long you work there they always ask for experience.

BEWARE !Investigate fully,ask questions, keep a record of everything ,  communicate in writing as well as verbally AND ADVOCATE for your love one is a MUST!!The Gp's do the bare minimum, and don't really want to take the time to engage with family members.Remember after a fall or an event you do not have to take the staffs advice of NOT to call an ambulance or to send your loved one to hospital - as next of kin  you make the decision NOT them - I always said can you tell if my mother has broken a rib or has internal injuries? NO - SO? I want her to be taken to hospital to be assessed by proper qualified medical staff . It is your loved ones RIGHT!I personally know of a resident during the period my mother was residing there, who fell  and broke her arm and was put to bed" - and not taken to get medical assistance  until the following morning. I will not name this person

This place looks ok and I've visited people here but apparently if you move there (without a pet) you aren't allowed to get a pet which I think is lame

My mum has been a high needs resident since November 2020. I have nothing but praise for the care and support the team here at Arcare has provided her under the difficult circumstances during the covid outbreak. They are a friendly team from the reception to the kitchen. The caring and amazing chef is willing to make meals mum misses . The nursing staff are responsive to my questions and emails and have supported me.
