Salt 'n Battered Nambour

Got exactly what I ordered, the works burger was pretty poor and the bun was definitely not the freshest.The kids in the back need to realise the customers can hear them clearly but the cod was cooked well as was the rear of the seafood and for a meal the portions are big.

My one fault... fish, chips and SALAD! All that salad for burgers but no option for a simple side salad. Otherwise it's a great place for all your usual fish n chip shop options plus gelato!!

Best cod and chips battered, mate had a huge burger, looks are deceiving, the food was good and price was better than some cheers

Friendly staff, clear phone voice and polite in shop.Best burgers in town!! We ordered 2 Works Burgers with the lot and chips. When the team member handed the order to my husband he said that they will be nice burgers because he had made them with love, he certainly did there was so much in these burgers that I couldn't even get my mouth around it so good, fresh produce best burger in a long long time. Keep up the good work.

It not often people do your grilled fish right. It was done perfectly. I think if fish chip shops make there food with healthy oils etc chips, batter or crumbs. More people will buy fish and chips for tea.

I went into salt and battered Nambour last week on Wednesday. The food was great however a young lady with brunette hair was working and she was quite rude and I heard her complaining about how she didn’t want to be their. I believe her name a kiarna as I heard one of the other employees say her name.

My experience with Salt abd Battered Nambour was very disappointing. To avoid a long wait time on a Friday night, as I had interstate guests who were keen to eat early, I rang our order through. The person I spoke to assured me that my order would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes, which worked, as it would take 10 minutes to drive to the shop. Upon arrival I gave my name to the person at the cash register and they handed our order with them repeating our order back to us. When I arrived home, they had left out the fish. I rang to pololitely explain what had happened. I was told that I could get a store credit or get some additional fish for free and that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I opted for the fish as it was my guests who had be inconvenienced. They were a bit put off that they would now be waiting another 20 minutes for their fish and had to keep their chips warm in the oven. I returned to the store and tell the same person who originally gave me my incorrect order the reason why I was back. Then I waited, and waited, watched other people come in and order and get their food and wait some more. I peered through to the kitchen to see four young people moving around at a snail's pace, sometimes not doing anything in particular. With a background in takeaway, I found this odd for a busy Friday night. After waiting at least 20 minutes, a man comes in and picks up his phone order from the hot box and I notice two small bags of food left behind. I approach a different person at the cash register and say I was still waiting for the rest of my order. She turns to the hot box and pulls out the two bags, that had been there the entire time I had been waiting and gave them to me. I was not impressed. Then when I arrived home, there was no additional fish and the grilled whiting was extremely small for the $10.90 that I paid. The hot chips were now soggy after being kept in the oven and my guests had waited over an hour in total for their dinner.

We ordered 2 pieces of battered cod and fish . We were very disappointed in how the fish was cooked , the batter and fish were burnt , ended up throwing it in the bin it was that bad. Have ordered at Salt and battered before and have been served great food. Not happy and the staff need to know they cannot serve food this way especially for the price.
