I’d give 10 stars if I could! I needed a second opinion regarding my building report before purchasing a house. Alex was all booked out and so I sent him my builders report of the property, he was on the phone going through the report thorough me for along time and answered all the questions I had going in to a big purchase like a house. I offered to pay him for his time and he genuinely didn’t want to take my money. Nice to know there are still personable people out there who go out of there way to serve their customers with a smile and a helping attitude. Thanks again Alex. Your a legend bro

I engaged Mehrtens Underpinning to conduct a foundation analysis on a property I was looking at buying. I was pressed for time as my contract only had a 7 day building and pest inspection allowance and the initial building inspection had shown signs of subsidence. Alex and Rod came to site with less than 24 hours notice and were able to provide a detailed analysis report (with floor reference levels, crack locations, remedial measures and quotation) within 2 hours of the visit. They far exceeded my expectations and identified a range of structural movements that were missed by the building inspector. Recommend 100%

From the first visit by Rod and Alex last November until the extensive work required was finished this last week in March, we have been really impressed with the care and support taken at all times to ensure the underpinning and related work was very reasonably priced & professionally completed by the friendly crew. We feel our house is now safe and sound. A delightful surprise was the gift of flowers we received as brand new grandparents, a lovely gesture typifying the values of this family company. They were great in every way.

This time, I'm giving my 5-starrating to the Mehrtens Underpinning Company.It was a pleasure dealing with Rod and Alex Mehrtens and their men, including the admin staff: Chrystal and Letetia. What impressed me most (on top of their professionalism and expertise) was the friendly attitude of everyone and the clarity of their explanation to each and every step of the job to be done, including all the different documents (contracts, permits, certificates and warranty, etc.) that we should be receiving or entitled to have. It just shows how honest and trustworthy their company is. I'd also like to mention that after asking around.... getting prices and quotes, Mehrtens was actually the most expensive, but it didn't matter to us coz in the end we wanted one that we could trust.

Mehrtens Underpinning provided excellent advice and expert guidance on some structural cracking in brickwork at my property in North Brisbane. Even though it is a busy time in the construction industry, and I could not find anyone to else to provide a quote, Mehrtens were able to provide a detailed quote and advice within a short period of time. If anyone is looking for underpinning and construction services, these guys displayed a wealth of knowledge, and I understand are a local family-run business.
