I'm disgusted at the very least and was left bullied and spoken down to with complete and unnecessary anger! Their incompetence and business etiquette comes across softly and understanding at first ..then they completely overcharge you and put you down if you merely question them. Very sneaky! Shane the owner got extremely hot headed and angry at my confusion as to why my car was compression tested when the car was clearly running fine when cold on 4 cylinders and only misfired on cylinders when it's hot due to the overflow running back into the engine head. He knew the problem with the car after together we blew out the excessive moisture from around the spark plugs just a few weeks earlier. I sought the advice of three other mechanic friends that sadly live too far away. The dipstick on the oil shows no sign of milky creamy discharge which may be a sign of cracked head gasket which only then I can see would justify a compression test on my or their request. Nothing was said beforehand about a compression test. (Something I don't understand as a design by manufacturer of Ford Fiesta why the overflow goes back into the head) They performed an unnecessary compression test and a COLD pressure test instead of one when the engine runs warm or hot, to find any leaks when I explained clearly and they did not listen, that it only happens when the car is hotAfter having my mechanic friends all query why my car was compression tested instead of just pressure tested I can see that these guys will just do as they feel fit to suit themselves for my hard earned money. Also, I had a credit of $500 dollars with them for the service of our other car with which they took and said it was for storage??? They dumped it out the front with it still needing to be fixed and took my credit, and said it was for payment of the Fiesta and storage??? .. there was no mention before of storage cost???Altogether I'm left out of pocket, angry and very well bullied by a mechanic and his wife that served me nothing but poor business etiquette and they are completely self ritious in thinking they know best. That is why he got so angry so quickly.. on the back foot and did not like to be questioned on an invoice, which every customer is entitled by RIGHT to do.Do NOT go to South Burnett Mechanical.
