Rawson Village Accommodation & School Camps

Food tastes really soggy and cold. The desert tasted like water. The toast was cold and soggy and there was no butter. Staff were really mean and disrespectful to my race and culture. I deserve better I’m a decent person and I’m very insecure about my race. Bedrooms were completely dirty and stunk like rotten cheese. I found a cigarette under the blanket. Every time it rained the windows would fog up and the showers were so claustrophobic. Ew would not recommend unless you like staying at 1 star accommodations.

We came to stay at Rawson village and I was so taken back with the environment that it was situated in, it was absolutely breath taking and the staff are so attentive and friendly. I found the food to be so fresh and tasted exactly like home cooking.Comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms.It also has great facility’s for corporate retreats.This camp did not disappoint.I would 110% recommend Rawson village to any school or corporate groups.

I went here for a school camp and Overall, nothing great was offered here. The cabins were awful since the mattresses would sink to the side you were on and the ground was rock solid and almost broke my foot as well as the rooms being tiny. The activities were also very boring. Most of the food was better than what people said at least. The shower was also partly broken. The staff were averagely friendly but didnt make up for the poor facilities and accommodation.

DO NOT TRUST THE GOOD REVIEWS.All the food was left to sit for at least half an hour before the people were able to eat it.Some were served undercooked chicken and semi-raw meat patties. A few people here ended up with food poisoning.I, myself, am still suffering with a cold that was caused by this camp not being able to keep everyone out of the rain.Some rooms had NO heaters at all, the heated floors were not keeping anyone warm.

This hasn't been one of the good school camps I've been to. I mean, I was already expecting the food to be pretty bad but it was on ANOTHER level. The cabins and the bathrooms were in bad shape too, which just made my experience even worse. Also, most of the activities weren't that interesting except for the swimming pool and high ropes. Let's not forget how unfriendly that one mountain bike instructor was, even making mean remarks to a poor girl. Luckily, every other staff member was cheering on and helpful, which was the only thing that made this camp even passable. 2/5, wouldn't recommend.

Worst school camp of all time, if 0 stars was an option they would get it. Boring activities, rooms felt like prison cells, and don’t get me started on the food. Uncooked chicken that gave 3 people food poisoning, and a whole grade of growing year 7’s getting next to no food, and certainly none of any decency

it was disgusting. There was pink chicken, kids were throwing up there was curry that was wet and dry it was disgusting horrendous. Cabins had spiders and writing with kids saying “leave” “help” I don’t suggest bringing kids to camp here. Staff yelled at kids, felt haunted and fuzzy.

Yeah I’ll just be blunt here, the camp wasn’t the best. While my experience itself was good purely because I had a good teacher, I cannot deny the fact that there were many issues with it.I think the activities themselves were fine - they were pretty enjoyable (again, made more interesting because of my teacher). The food was very mixed - on the first night the rice was very wet and the curry was incredibly dry, and that was topped off by spoiled beans (love to see it). The lasagna on the next night was very good though, and the other small snacks were alright.The cabins were very strange - they were so split from each other. One group of cabins was on one side of the camp, and the other was on the direct opposite side - it didn’t make sense. The cabins themselves weren’t the best either - they were rather small and didn’t really accommodate for 6 people. I had friends in cabins of two who had to share a couple showers amongst a whole group of people, which wasn’t the best.I’ll give credit where it’s due though - the location was really nice. Despite the camp itself not looking the best, the surroundings were very solid.While I personally enjoyed camp (probably around 7/10 in terms of enjoyment), I can’t ignore the amount of bias there is towards that because I had a great teacher. If I didn’t have a good teacher, this camp wouldn’t have been very enjoyable. Don’t really know whether to recommend this or not - a lot of my friends certainly wouldn’t, that’s for sure.

This is a great place for a school camp, the staff go above and beyond to cater for your needs. As a teacher I was so happy to see my students go well above their limits and really challenge themselves. All the activities were amazing. Also they maintain a covid safe practice in all activities, they go well above what other camps I have seen. If you want a clean, safe and fun camp then this is it. Many thanks to the rawson village team! We will be back!

i am highly depressed of the audacity they had to deliver me a HALF UNCOOKED PATTY with UN MELTED CHEESE. Highly disappointed and would not recommend
