We went at low tide and is perfect for the honkers to run out and have heaps of fun without it being too deep. Only issue is limited parking in front of the beach itself, but ok if you're happy to park a little bit away and walk there.

Nice beach, not enough parking on a summer weekend but then that's normal around Sorrento. Stops being dogs off-lead 12pm-7pm in peak season.

Being a fairly new dog owner, I was quite shocked how few places on the Peninsula I can walk my dog on the beach, especially during daylight savings. So, having this leash free area is essential. It would be even better if it was leash free all day all year. My boy needs daily exercise and loves swimming here. Low tide is the best because there is more room to run and play.The cove and raised vegetation provide natural barriers for my dog not to go further and the beach is a fair distance from the road making it much safer for my dog. We love everything about this beach and come here all year round.

A quiet and beautiful beach where your dog can run off leash. The car park is quite small but it wasn't too busy when we visited.

Great beach in a fantastic location - I’ve been walking here for many years with my dog. It’s an opportunity to socialise for me, my partner and our dog plus enjoy the brilliant view. My dog loves a swim and a potter along the shoreline. Most owners are responsible and pick up after their pets, so I rarely see any dog poo except when the Summer visitors arrive. Dog waste bag dispensers would be a good improvement.

Camerons Bight Dog Off Leash Area
Much loved by locals and visitors, this is a very popular 1km long dog beach.From 26 Dec to 1 March dogs must be on lead from 12pm to 7pm. All other times are leash free.Beach starts from the end of the Dorothy Houghton Sea walk and finishes at the sand boat ramp near Stringer Road. Parking at either the First Settlement site, opposite Hughes Rd or opposite 2945 Pt Nepean Rd.More enjoyable at low tide. It's a pity the foreshore camping there isn't dog friendly too. Such a missed opportunity as the Peninsula is lacking in dog friendly accommodation for people travelling in caravans etc.
