Zap Fitness 24/7 Northcote

Recommend finding another gym. They say they are ‘no lock in contract’ but I cancelled last September due to moving overseas and they have continued to charge me membership fees at random intervals since I cancelled. They also will not respond to emails regarding the issue. Save yourself the headache and join another gym.

Terrible customer service experience. Joined Jetts after the refurb and was using it fairly frequently for about a month. Showed up one day and my scan tag wouldn't let me in. When I checked my credit card, no funds had been withdrawn so there was obviously some issue with the direct debit however instead of calling me they just cancelled my membership. Tried to call them 5 times, left multiple messages for someone to call me back and no one ever did. Wouldn't go back there now if they paid me to attend.

As a small local gym it’s fine, but I had to leave due to hygiene issues. The soap dispensers in the toilet were left empty for well over a month. Also, resistance bands that had snapped were never replaced- not a huge deal, but then not a huge deal to get them replaced either! Throw in the fact the place is busy with pubescent school boys swaggering around between 3.30-5:00 every day and it started to feel a bit grubby. They also overcharged me by 2 weeks after I left - again, that kind of mugging feels like standard practice for gyms these days, so I let them keep it so I didn’t have to interact any further. But the soap - that was the deal breaker.

Jetts Northcote is the best gym I’ve ever been to, and I spent a fair chunk of time at Muscle Beach in LA during the mid to late 80s. After throwing iron with bull-sharks like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Steve Michalik, I thought I had achieved all my fitness goals. I figured I had sated my appetite for gains. I was wrong; as wrong as doing bicep curls in the squat rack.Jetts Northcote is more than just a gym; it’s a family. The last few weeks I’ve spent at Jetts have rekindled my love for fitness and completely altered my life outlook. Hell, I’m even considering seeing my kids again for the first time in 25 years.Thank you, Jetts Northcote.

Good gym cheap good equipment.Surprising amount of good equipment for a commercial gym, large selection of free weights, spare barbells, grips, d handles and machines.

Please refill the soap in the bathroom. It’s very unhygienic for the bathroom to have no soap. People use the toilet, can’t wash their hands with soap, and then use the gym equipment. That’s disgusting. The soap has not been refilled for months now. There is no soap in the bathrooms! Come on Jetts

Jetts Northcote is an excellent, inclusive gym. I joined last year after lockdown lifted, I'd moved during lockdown and was gym shopping at the four or so gyms local to me. The manager, James, was incredibly welcoming and super easy to chat to, which really pushed me over the line when making my decision, the facilities were similarly good to other local gyms, but the vibe of Jetts is super relaxed and friendly. As a woman who lifts, the feel of a gym is very important to me, and Jetts has always made me feel really comfortable.If you're looking for a new gym, I highly recommend Jetts Northcote!

Changed from Jetts Northcote to Zap Fitness with absolutely zero correspondence. I visited once a week meaning this was not my ‘home gym’, so I was simply locked out. No notice of future change provided online via website or social media. Not even something as simple as signage in the vicinity of the venue or in the venue itself in the build up. Extremely disappointing and doesn’t bode well as a new venture for Zap Fitness.

Tiny gym. Busy at all times. Gear is dated and not maintained.Cancelled membership and they still charged me after. Completely incompetent. Not worth saving $4 a week when there's far better gyms in the area
