Lovely spot in a lovely town but ruined by Jack H who served us. Went out of his way to be argumentative, rude and generally unhelpful. Have had the most lovely day in Healesville but this was a black mark on an otherwise great day.

Nice place, however, the $35 steak was tougher then the sole of my shoes unfortunately. Nice people and good service.

Stopped for a drink, a good selection of craft beers and interesting wine list.The drinks were so nice we stayed for dinner as they were able to provide gluten free options. The food was tasty and not expensive.Service was friendly and efficient.

$47.75 for a burger and a pint!? Even with inflation that taking the mickey. And be aware of the Sunday surcharge! An absolute rip-off. With all the other options available along the high street I would recommend you go somewhere else where your hard-earned dollars will go further.

We had dinner here last night. Steak night. The man taking us to our table was friendly and welcoming. Your steak can be cooked any way you like as long as it’s Medium Rare he joked. My wife’s porterhouse was browned on the outside and raw in the middle! It was tough and grissly too. My Wagyu rump was tough. Chips were good as was the wine. Looked forward to a nice meal out but left underwhelmed.

Great space out back, drinks were good. Food was the let down. $28 for the fried chicken burger and a few chips which were very average.

Cosy Atmosphere, food was delicious, service was VIP , the manager ? Was so welcoming and made sure we were happy and well looked after , thank you ! Be nice if they had perhaps a pepper gravy or garlic butter with steaks rather than mustard , the place was so clean very impressive , had a wonderful time here as staff were Gracious and welcoming

A friend and I cycled from the city, stayed the night here and cycled home the next morning. We were given secure storage for our bikes, the building is charming, rooms and beds are a generous size, location is great, as are the shared bathrooms.We didn’t get to eat here because the pub section was closed on the Monday we stayed, but plenty of options around. Only negative was the bar fridge in my room creaked a fair bit and there was road noise outside, the white noise app on my phone sorted that out though.I would gladly come back here.

Visited for the third time yesterday, not sure what’s happened, but what a disappointment. The food was blah and expensive. On previous occasions 18 months-3 years ago, the food was great and I recommended to family and friends. Not anymore, will not return or recommend.

We really love the Victorian style of this hotel, everything was really nicely decorated and in perfect condition giving a nice and authentic atmosphere. The bedding and mattress were amazing as the huge shower. We add a really good rest. Thanks!
