The Dragon's Head
Not really worth the visit. I was expecting the dragon head to appear bigger. But it was just a small rock. Didn’t end up going all the way towards it. The beach itself was great though.

Nice spot but I couldn't see the dragon head and the stairs that lead down to the beach were broken therefore inaccessible

Really nice secluded walk. Some great photos and interesting small waterfalls around the 'Dragon's Head'. Car park was quite far away and the walk was generally across a lot of seaweed (can be slippy at times!). Some interesting water holes, rock pools and interesting cliff faces. Lots of people fishing and spear fishing in the area. Great little hike for stopping off on the way.

Reach Car Park 16. Parking spots are a bit limited. It is a comfortable walk down to the beach. However, to view the dragon head rock, you must go towards to the west side of the rock. Please ensure you check the tide time table. The spot is only accessible during low tide. Wear a pair of good shoe with grip. The rock and sea weed bed are very slippery. Not recommended for young kids as they can slip and fall. Overall, a very good experience.

Awesome spot for photography at dawn and sunset. Good swimming spot too. Great little beach. You need to take care as the plateau that Dragon's Head is on is completely inundated at high tide and often has waves wash over it even at low tide. In winter you'll get decent shots here all day. In summer the light can be too harsh. I think its best in the morning at low tide.

Mother Nature at its best, but be very careful, there are some massive rogue waves that could wipe you out hard! I have seen people get caught out by sudden high tides moving in quick! But it is just a hidden gem.

To reach the angle where it resembles a dragon you’ll need gumboots. All the rock fishermen had them. Aim for low tide, the lower the better. The rock erosion is amazing, like a meringue left out in the rain except happening over eons. Multiple types and patterns of weathering are visible including a cave large enough to walk into. The rock shelf where the Dragon’s Head is presents no real difficulty to walk on at low tide but waterproof footwear is the only way you’ll keep your feet dry.Car park is unpaved and needs attention.

This is another one of those really popular spots for photographers. I spent years not going here because I saw so many different people shoot here and it didn't interest me that much. I went here when I was in the area finally and now I can see why it's so popular. It's really cool watching large waves hit the rock shelfs and then see the water flow over the edge near the dragons head. I definitely enjoy shooting at this spot now.

This is such a great place to visit at low tide on a hot summers day.
