A shining example of the incompetence of the government and the people it hires.Dealing with these morons is like beating yourself to death with a cricket bat.Don’t live anywhere around here if you’re not keen on being harassed by tax hungry sociopaths

Can I put 0 star? Probably one of worst council in WA. Only happy to take your money through tax but when you need their services or help they either show incompetence or dishonesty. If you intend to start a business my advice go somewhere else.

The rangers are great always return calls on the ball as for the rest don't bother calling you get no help do not return phone calls even CEO is too busy has not got the time to return a call, they seem to forget that they work for the rate payers of the City of Bayswater not for just themselves shame they don't treat rates payers with respect, I pay my rates on time do the right thing as I am sure many others do, but try to get a simple thing done well today a big sigh from a guy in town planning all too hard, they are spending millions on trees how about improving the roads and make it safer for push bikes and cars. Is just poor service if you happen to work in the public sector I feel that some of you would not last one day, its a shame that some ruin it for others.

I went to pick up my caddy bin and liner as I just move to the area. the email I received was to bring bills to prove my address which I had in my email on the phone. Got there the lady said I needed to bring my licence which I didn't have. I showed her the correspondence I received from council that didnt mention ID, but she insisted that I needed photo ID to also prove thats my bills. Like theres highly likely that other people could have my water bills in the email and have pretended to be me to drive there take a caddy bin!!!! Where is common sense? Is it fun for you to make other people's life harder? Ridiculous services

I have applied for a home base salon. I found all front desk staffs were helpful.But on planning department were so very structured. I have two problems.Problem one I have submitted three parking bays as a home base salon, thought this will help as I have plenty of parking. No! The council want one car park to be submitted and they cannot even remove or cross out, I ended have to provides another copy of my floor plans again.Problem two, to AMENDMENTS the floor plans. Again I have to restart/resubmitted the applications and the FEE 100% the full amount AGAIN.And this took double of time needed to be. Money and time! I m very disappointed. I m a resident , ratepayer. I feel this is un fair power ?" council should be more helpful with home base business not to take advantage of residents."

I have a large old tree on the council verge on my place I've lived nine years suffering from from no water. Last year at this time it was the same situation and I advised the council back then and everything was recorded and someone was supposed to contact me but never did. Ultimately I watered it and brought it back cost me $50 extra on my wayer bill. This year exactly the same situation and so I'm just trying to get the council to pay for the water and I'll save the old tree probably 40 years old. Sadly they aren't interested so sadly it will die. You can't say I didn't try but very sad to see an old established tree die uneccessarily.

Please keep spending money on urban greening. I disagree strongly with the guy below. Have been seeing some beautiful plants and trees which will give hope for future generations and contribute to increase property values in the long run. Not to mention improving mood of civilians, reducing crime rates and reduced urban heat maps during summer. Good foresight. Please keep it up.

A joke to fine $80 for parking along a takeaway venue whilst inside picking up food to go. Won’t be back these ways anytime soon.

Not too sure if 2000+ council fees only for rubbish bin or anything else? My mum got symptoms as Covid, I was trying to ask city of bayswater staff if anywhere in our community have free Rats test that I can collect. They said you need call government. But city of Stirling their website have few locations for residential to get it . Also , Victoria park council do provide it! Only bayswater not trying to help ?!

For some of us attending council meetings is interesting. Often it is the only way to find out what is going on within your local government area. I probably know what is going on in Canberra or Washington, but not what is happening within 10km/6miles of my home.
