Top Delight Chinese Restaurant
I’ve been coming here on and off for five years. It’s one of the few Chinese restaurants that in the south east of Melbourne that I really enjoy. In particular I won’t eat beef at any other Chinese restaurant in the area.We took the family to celebrate an occasion and it was completely empty when we arrived at about 6:15pm. By 6:45pm every table was full. It was an impressive transition but the service suffered pretty badly. The food was slow to arrive and the staff didn’t visit our table at all for the rest of the meal.The food was good but not quite as good as every other time I’ve eaten there. The serving sizes where oddly inconsistent. Some of us went home hungry and some where completely full.For old times sake I’m giving it four stars. If it was the first time I’d eaten there I’d probably give it three stars.

Top Delight Chinese Restaurant
I haven’t tried everything on the menu but the dumplings and the Shanghai fried noodle are a good representation of genuine Shanghai street food in my opinion. In addition it seems everything is cooked using quality fresh produce. If you don’t like these dumplings, you probably just don’t like Shanghai style dumplings.No split bills and min EFTPOS $20. Deal with it. And yes I’ve been to Shanghai.

Warmest welcome followed by fantastic food!Some of the nicest and friendliest service I’ve received in a long time as soon as I walked through the door.I ordered the Pork Xiao Long Bao to start, and they arrived fairly quickly. Very juicy and deliciousTo follow was the Prawn and Vermicelli Claypot in XO sauce and wow the flavours in this were insanely delicious! Nice level of spice with the prawns being cooked well.I definitely over ordered though, but thankfully the take away containers available means I’m gonna have a delicious dinner again tomorrow!A few alcohol beverages available here, BYO wine with an $8 corkage.Will definitely be back, very excited to try the other menu items

Dim sum/yum cha is a no-go here. The high google ratings are not warranted, even for local standards. The chrysanthemum tea was good, but the har gow/prawn dumplings were small, and the fried xiao long bao came out already broken and stale tasting.The restaurant itself is tired, tables greasy. Service was fine.

Clean restaurant with good ambience, service and plenty of street parking outside. Choice of food was great: the pork dumpling with chives was quite delicious and the deep fried quails was a hit with the family.

Very nice dinner. 3 drinks and Chinese broccoli and seafood fry rice with those spring rolls dumplings and pork.Only 96Will come back again if we are in this area

The sauce is too thick.. It turns into a sauce that is too salty.. The rice and beef are fresh, so there is no problem..

Really nice dumplings and food. I came here because the ratings were better than other dumpling places in the area, I was not disappointed, everything tasted really good.
