LOCH SPORT BOWLS CLUB

As a well travelled person, I’ve eaten in many remote locations and wasn’t expecting much from the isolated town of Loch Sport. Yet, I was more than pleasantly surprised with a Saturday night dinner that had my tastebudsEntrees we shared were deep fried Camembert and boconcini with cranberry and brandy sauce. If that doesn’t get your mouth watering, stand by! My partner ordered the pan seared scallops served in a half shell and drizzled with a light coconut and lemongrass sauce. As a seafood connoisseur, he was stoked with the portion size and the unique flavours. The hint of turmeric made it a one off taste experience.For mains I had hand made gnocchi tossed in a creamy roast capsicum, baby spinach and garlic sauce, topped with crumbled goats feta. My partner had the chicken supreme - a breast of chicken with a pocket of Camembert, wrapped in prosciutto, grilled then drizzled with hollandaise sauce served on seasonal vegetables with mashed potato.Wine choices at the bar were good but other drinks served in a can or bottle.The decor was lovely, simple but classy. The room was 60% full for the time we were there which is not bad for such a small town.Tony the chef is a talented and affable man. I had to go and thank him for a meal to remember. Sharni, the hostess along with the other team were faultless.Melbourne restaurants - take note what people want. Good food, friendly staff, comfortable surroundings, all at a reasonable price.The Bowling Club itself is well looked after and clean. A beautiful setting on a summer evening. Parrots chirping in the trees, kangaroos hopping outside the fence and echidnas waddling along the sandy car park. Doesn’t get much better than this.We will return and bring friends.

Our first meal and it was sensational .. this will now be our new dining spot .. the smashed pav dessert was like angels dancing in mouth...

Gotta say it.... this little local joint screams with aromas smelt across Loch Sport, hence, whilst out riding I had no choice but to drop in... after smelling such.Wow.... salt/pepper Squid, fresh salad and all the trimming with incredible Asian sauces....mmmnn...Gotta live it ❤️Ren

Holiday here in Lochsport for 4 weeks & the food here for dinner is incredible.Beef curry amazing, pork belly so good with vegetables cooked to perfection.Honey/lemon chicken my fav !!Chicken curry yum, though much hotter than the beef.Beef ribs cooked so well with a great serving of mash & vegetables with a beautiful gravy/ jus sauce.Bolognaise Parma also a winner ..Sticky date pudding was ok, yet a bit more sweetness would of been good & suggest Icecream instead on cream !

Thank you so much for providing such a yummy menu at such an affordable price.Our first time there on Friday lunch time , the food was the best. It was so nice and not smothered in oil. Not a deep fried item in siteMy tummy says thank you. We'll be back.

We had two excellent meals at a very reasonable price, Sharni making the delicious sweets and was very welcoming Tony the busy Chef makes it happen, not to mention the friendly bar staff. So happy we are now social members

Asian Buffet on Thursday evening is great. Quality of food is superb. Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

All the staff were very friendly. Great food. Well priced. I will be bringing my friend and family next time. We'll be back soon.
