The Avenues Picnic Area
Great spot for a picnic and fire. It is basically a day camp area that is locked in the evening. Access is easy with 2wd cars, with parking spots available right next to the fire pits. Some short walking paths are near by, and toilet facilities were nice and clean.

Great place for a bbq with family and friends. There is plenty of room to setup and a good number of fire pits. Atmosphere is very relaxing, however you may struggle with phone reception.

Parked here for a walk. The walk we did was well laid out and really enjoyed it.

'Picnic area' describes what is actually more like a day camp. When fire ban is lifted this is a lovely place to come and gather round an open fire. Arrive early on weekends to secure a fire pit. You can forage for wood but it might be slim pickings in terms of sizable logs. The site is closed at night-time.
