Hutchinson Builders

Hutchinson builders is the best tier one builder I have come across. They continually invest into they business and ensure all staff and clients are taking care off. Hutchies is a builders religion.

I live on the top floor of a Hutchinson built 10 storey building, built about 14 years ago. The roofs on each of the six pent-houses leaks and apparently have leaked since it was built. For that reason I would never buy again in a Hutchinson built building and have told all my friends about this as well.

Needed some advice and they were very helpful. First class

Initially I had a bad experience, but that all changed when I was introduced to Alan Smith, the quality and defects team manager. He is a huge asset to Hutchinson Builders. He took the time to go through my case and rectified defects from the initial build. Alan went above and beyond for me and my wife. Not only did he help us out, but took the time to explain everything in detail so we knew exactly what was going on at all times. I would like to also thank Hutchinson Builders for rectifying the defects. My wife and I are so happy with the outcome and are in love with how our apartment has turned out. Thank you very much you have completely restored my faith in the company.

I live in an apartment complex built by this company. Everything is under engineered and expected to fail right after the building warranty period. The body corporate of this building is going broke fast fixing everything. Its hopeless. If you want to pay hundreds more dollars per month then you should in your body corporate fees go right ahead and buy anything these clowns touch.

The accounts department are very dishonest. We have been waiting for our invoice to be paid for 2 months now and have been told by the accounts department that they have not received our invoice. !!!!!!! funny thing is, I have sent it three times.I rang to see if they received it on the third reminder bingo!!!! yes. Our emails 100% went through each time. Then I was told that our invoice was going to be paid on 15/4/2016 as it was an outstanding invoice from February 2016. Typical big company standing over the smaller person. We will not be doing work again for this company.

I live next to one of their developments, initially very inconsiderate of properties close to their development site, creating lots of dust to houses nearby and ignoring request to maintain dust control policies (water down dust). After the dust, there was noise during construction. Not very good public relations management. They should hire a staff to do proper public relations before the start of project, it will be cheaper to negotiate with neighbours before, than to have us complaining to council. Anyway the end is near and finally looking good, also gradually making good with fence, and landscape directly adjacent plus request for mulch and possibly one external house clean, I hope. I originally rated them 1 out of 5, now 3 out of 5.

I had an awful experience of tendering with Hutchinson builders. New business relationship manager Paul David is so arrogant with no respect to a potential client from a different cultural background. My concerns and complain were sent up to the senior management team but no response at all. I hope Scott knows what has happened. Anyways, now my project is in good hands, and I hope Hutchinson gets more projects after losing Queen's wharf to Multiplex. All the best.

They don't care about the community. They have an automated alarm system at the construction site at Yeerongpilly Green that constantly goes off at all hours, at it takes is a crow flying past and loud klaxons are going off with a canned recording of dogs barking. Completely destroys the neighbourhood peace. Plus any lowlife with enough smarts would know there's enough false alarms that security mustn't follow up anyway, they could just steal anyway and ignore the fake alarm.

As a contractor, they are a fantastic company to work with. For me as a Photographer, they are completely happy for me to have free rain over what and how I photograph the event or job they have hired me to do. Everyone is friendly, down to earth and will do anything to help you do your job to the best of your abilities. The staff all put 200% into their jobs, as they love the company so much.
