Warrane College UNSW

When I was accepted to start my university experience at UNSW I had to move out of home, but it is with privilege and gratefulness that I can say I found a new home within Warrane CollegeI spent my entire 3 years of University life living at Warrane. I had truly an exceptional time here. It can be a challenging transition from high school to university life, and I absolutely wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have Warrane there to guide me.Warrane isn't a place for the faint-hearted, you will be challenged and pushed by your peers to excel, to be the best possible version of yourself, and that's taught me so many great life lessons. You will be surrounded by people from all areas and walks of life, people who are willing and passionate to share their experiences and knowledge with you so can grow.I was ever so fortunate to be so integral to Warrane's culture. Warrane allowed me to grow my filmmaking passions as I have done countless promotional videos and short films in my time there. I was also a Social Director which was truly an honour.And although I now start a new chapter in my life beyond Warrane, I never feel like I have left.Because I know through the ups and downs and life, I will always have a Home at Warrane.

As an International student, away from home and living in a completely new environment and lifestyle can be daunting at first. Warrane College has not only become my new home but being an all inclusive community, a great exposure and importance is given to the overall character development of the residents. Definitely looking forward to my time here and making the most out of what Warrane has to offer. As a gentleman of Warrane, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Warrane College supplies all of the tools necessary for you to get the most out of university life. The College has perfected the balance of creating a sociable environment and pushing you to be your best academically. The various social, sporting, and cultural events ensure there is always something enjoyable to do, and help to solidify the friendships you form within college.If you are intending to attend UNSW (or any uni in the area for that matter), I cannot recommend Warrane College enough.

For an international student like me, Warrane could be the best place to stay. The college is fully catered and literally situated on campus. More importantly, at Warrane, you could make great friends from every part of the world and listen to their interesting stories and always learn from them. Also, it is NEVER boring to stay at Warrane because of all college activities throughout the whole semester. Warrane is definitely the place to be.

Warrane College has the best culture and atmosphere among the rest of the accommodation available to students at UNSW. Being a first year, Warrane has made my transition into uni life much easier whilst also making it feel like a home away from home. Choosing Warrane this year was one of the best decisions I made.

Staying at Warrane has made my first year at UNSW better than I could've hoped for. All the main aspects of the college, culture, sport and social allowed me to form and strengthen friendships that I know will last a lifetime. My main worry going to a college was if my academics could compete with the social life, and through the fantastic support system at the college I was more than ok. I can't recommend Warrane enough!

An excellent college with a strong community. The boys are well supported by older residents and also admin. Good food, nice facilities, and strong history which we all fit into. The friendships I made here, I know will last a life time. There's also a gym which is included in the fees which is nice, and they're really good at sports which is a plus. Overall I had a great time here!

Warrane College provides a friendly environment and many opportunities for its residents to grow and attain the most from their time at university. The college possesses a strong culture of achievement, resilience and camaraderie. I have learnt a lot from my first year at college and it has allowed me to have a comfortable transition into university life, especially as someone moving from interstate.

Warrane College is a place of hospitality and friendship/brotherhood where you are welcomed as a part of the community regardless of your ethnicity, religion and personality. As long as you behave respectfully to others, the community is always there to aid you when you need help, both academically and socially.I got the chance to stay in Warrane during my exchange program and found my life there was always filled with excitement. Every week, there are activities such as sports (soccer, basketball, tennis etc.) on Monday, formal dinner on Wednesday with guest speakers from different industries sharing their insights, which inspired our career development. In some weeks there were special events such as Master chef and Movie night where each floor competed for the tastiest/funniest work. Almost every weekday we had coffee club at 9~9:30pm where students on the same floor joined recreational events where we got to know more about each other. I also got chance to join the annual ball where we invited friends to an exciting dinner and dancing. It would not have been possible for an introvert like me, people in Warrane were very helpful in let me socialize and tread the path of discovery/experience amongst community.Although I only stayed in Warrane for one term during my exchange program, the members of Warrane (Dean, Master, Fathers from the chapel, senior residents, tutor and peer) helped flourishing my UNSW life where I would say it is a life-changing experience that I would treasure in my life. Even after I returned to my home country, I keep close contact with the friends I made in Warrane.
