the place is the best me and my siblings enjoy it at Mernda, there are great teachers and the teachers help everyone there so I recommend you send your kids there.

My daughter started in grade 2 last term and she has never been happier before! She loves her teaches and friends. She has been getting recognised for her efforts and it helps her to do better.

Horrible school! So much bullying and teachers are so slow at dealing with each case because most of the time they don't listen to the child when they're reaching out for help and the bully doesn't get dealt with aside from being sent to another class for a while and they're right back at it when they get back. The vice principle/welfare co ordinator is more worried about supporting the teacher through it then the child who is being bullied and the principle shouldn't be a principle with her negative comments about students that she's never putting any effort into getting to know them and when trying to deal with all, all she does is make you feel bad and won't listen to you as she's more concerned about hearing her own voice. 1 and a half years of nonsense at that school where my son is crying every morning scare to go to school because of the bully that was not being dealt with and all the principle has to say is I can't help if he's not here, he's just pulling on your heart strings, he'll use any excuse not to go to school and my son has social development issues! How dare she and the rest not hold up their end of our arrangement of having my son safe and happy during school hours while he is with you? So many times he tried to ask for help and support only to be shut down every step of the way! Even in front of me!so sad a child isn't protected by these ppl! Don't send your children there as they too can suffer like my son did!

I moved my son to Mernda Primary from another school due to bad bullying. He has ASD/ADHD and so I was very reluctant to change him in case the move didn't end up good for him. I have been amazed at how much he has grown and how happy he is coming home and going to school each morning since the move! He loves Mernda Primary and his teacher and aides have been amazing with him! Seeing his smile back on his face and no fear about school just makes me soo proud of him! He is now eager to learn and wants to get back to school from the holidays quicker! Thanks Mernda Primary for bringing my son's love of school back to him!

The reason I give this school a star out of 5 is because there are too many bullies. It is hard to make friends there because they always start fights and it’s not fun. The technology they use aren’t up to standard and most of the computers they have don’t even work. They don’t maintain the place as much as other schools and that makes everything here dirty and the amount of rubbish that roam the school grounds just surprises me. I would give this a 5 out of 5 if the school was clean, upgraded their technology, and actually teach people how to do things?

My son had the most amazing 7 years at Mernda Primary. Always felt supported, even through rough patches, and the teachers genuinely cared about the students.

The teachers don't even care about the students at all. The subjects are all boring and limited. No cooking class? History? Geography? Seriously? Learning Chinese is definitely the worst. Just get a Chinese teacher instead of using Skype. Most kids don't even need to learn Chinese. Just give them like 3 options; French, Spanish or Japanese then kids would actually enjoy learning another language. There's tons of racism. I used to go to this school and I was called racist names. The teachers don't care about the bullying, probably just the money.

We moved to this school 3 years ago and it was the best move we made for our daughter. She has been so happy with the school and loves the teachers. We have definately seen a positive change in her. Totally recommend .
