My first time here today and I was massively impressed for 2 major reasons:1. Huge range of wood with many different types, lengths, thicknesses, widths.2. The staff were amazing. Super friendly but most of all knowledgeable, helpful and gave great advice. Thanks Paul for all your great help.

Always a great experience. Fabulous range of timber and extremely helpful staff who’re always very generous with their time.I often arrive with curly fabrication questions that they easily answer, and on the rare occasion they’re unsure, they always know who to ask or refer me to, even looking up various business contact numbers for me on the spot. On more than one occasion, a staff member has taken time out of their day to call someone they know, on my behalf, just to help me out.I cannot recommend Urban Salvage enough. They are a supremely classy outfit.

Very helpful people that work there. Great selection of cheap shorts from 1.2m to 1.4m in various timbers. Great for small hobby jobs as well as commercial jobs

The guy there was super helpful when I purchased, but not at all when I wanted to return the timber. I didn't want my money back – I just wanted the piece of timber to go to someone who would use it as otherwise it will go out with hard rubbish. As a place that's all about recycled timbers, I expected better, or at least some help.

Rude and arrogant customer service!!! After purchasing a few miscellaneous deck boards which turned out to be the wrong thickness(innocent mistake on my behalf)I tried to return but was rudely informed that “we don’t accept any returns at all.” I can understand if one is trying to return ordered timber that was leftovers from a large job but these were simply one off pieces in the first place that could be simply resold. Disappointing that the owner’s response was “what’s in it for me?”. How about positive customer advocacy and consumer rights? I know where not to buy any timber or flooring from in the future. Avoid!

Very friendly and knowledgeable service, a great location for both new and experienced woodworkers.The staff were able to help find appropriate woods, and were very knowledgeable and experienced, and even had the time to provide some advice regarding my project.They have a great range and quality of products available.
