Upon arrival I rang the bell many times to get some attention, but no-one came. As I waited in vain I read some of the rules displayed on the desk. Must say I was a bit dumb founded at the instruction to ensure that all guest sleep between the sheets! Not sure what people had been doing thus far! Eventually I left and thought I'd ring reception on my phone but the owner appeared from outside. The rooms were really nice and spacious in a good location. I just had the feeling that with so many rules I could not relax. We bought cheese and yoghurt the night before for our breakfast, but morning brought warm dairy that was unsafe to eat. The owner said the cleaner had turned the fridge off. Surely basics should be checked before people stay in the rooms. All I can say is great place but just need to assume most people know how to sleep in a bed. Be easy to contact when people arrive and keep your fridges turned on. Thank you.

For a Motel this Business is very good- some rooms such as the Mezzanine room where we stayed are very spacious downstairs with a very small upstairs bedroom for 2 single beds. Owners are OCD about blanket use (concern about hygiene) possibly due to Covid risk and the need for constant blanket dry cleaning. It’s a $40 charge if cupboard blanket is misused. I was frantically trying to find warmth without facing an extra fee. That’s no problem as air conditioning is good. But when the location gets cold at night in winter and no electric blanket is available, the “charge” seems steep. It cost me $215 per night for a mezzanine room (lovely as it was) but no view and noisy neighbours. No smoking on the premises rule was also hard for us. I had to walk out to the street to ensure that I was not doing anything wrong. Bonus was a microwave and toaster. The art on view and optional breakfast are also good.

Takeaway experience from 1 night stay at this hotel was really appalling. We (3 families) booked for 1 night stay and paid more than 500$ (3 Rooms) and when we handed the key at 10 am in the morning. We had this guy who checked the rooms, he started shouting when he say the perfectly made up bed in our room. Literally he was so rude as in how people like us (Racism) don't sleep between the sheets and they would now have to wash the top sheet.Shocking bit is they don't launder the top sheets, i mean when we enter the hotel we might keep our bags on that sheet, sometimes kids will climb on them with shoes, there could be some diaper accident. Which hotel (charges so much) will admit that don't wash their sheet and blame the visitors for sleeping on that sheet and charge extra for laundering. This isn't the first hotel we are staying, we have been to most parts of the world and have used many hotel accommodations. This incident really killed the trip for all of us. We will definitely come back to bright, but not to this HOTEL EVER AGAIN!!!

Called up and enquired about the price range for the room and was told if I booked directly It was going to be $10 cheaper than online price. I checked neighbouring motels and some were cheaper. I then called back and politely enquired to the male owner that the motel next door was offering rooms for $15 less, the owner got angry, barked back at me that I should go and get a room for 10 bucks cheaper next door then , and hung up. What a shocking experience!Truth be told, I was actually going to book here and pay more then next door anyway, had my credit card ready, I was simply trying to get a better deal, if the owner politely explained that that was his best price, I would’ve booked.

This property is not really value for money. The tariff is high, the rooms dark (but large), limited furniture to relax on (one armchair inside & one outdoor chair per room), and notices on each bed telling you to ONLY sleep between the sheets! It's also a pleasant 10-15 min walk into town & there is a nice garden & pool, but I won't be back.

On the first night when we arrived, all restaurants were closed so we were looking for some bowls to eat our instant noodles with. There were none to be found in our room so a couple of friends went to reception for assistance. Very grumpy, the hostess walked with my friends back to the room and showed us the plates she'd left us in the cupboard and insisted that they were bowls". I said thanks when she was on her way out and she didn't even turn her head. Fine

This was a memorable trip up to Bright, and the stay at Bright On Track was positive but needs some workPros - good location, clean, great size (mezzanine) apartment that was perfect size for family of 4. Kids loved sleeping in separate bedroom on mezzanine floor - and they had a blast. Aircon worked a treat - though wasn’t a cold night.Cons - no phone in room; didn’t replenish shampoo (one small tube for 4 people for 2 nights); also dishes were stored under the sink (where you’d normally put a bin or dishwashing liquid etc - glasses lying flat ... hope they hadn’t any plumbing issues recently); also strange rules about not sitting/laying on bed covers which suggests they’re not cleaned regularly; see-thru blind in kitchen (which opens up onto main living/bedroom); finally the hot water cut out in shower for no apparent reason. Mostly just small things, but they detracted from our enjoyment.

Female owner very rude and unhelpful. Answer is a rude 'No' without explanation when requesting date changes. We travel a lot for professional sport and the unfriendly attitude is the worst we have come across.

Upon checking in we should have smelt a rat. The manager, Leo, made us read an archaic Terms & Conditions and even asked have you read it carefully? I really thought that was strange since all it mentioned was pretty standard stuff about room cleanliness and hygiene. There WAS one line about don't sleep on the matress cover else there would be a fine. I read that and so did all my friends and off we went into our rooms. 2 families religiously followed the rather draconian doctrine of not sleeping over the mattress although God only knows what evil can come off it! Surely the property thinks that it will lead to Armageddon as what happened next will prove so! The 3rd family who went with us were really tired, as all of us were! We had driven in 5 hours from Melbourne, had kids with us, were on the slopes and were too exhausted. So obviously they forgot the Hitler-like diktat and slept over the mattress. Whats the big deal or so you would think! In the morning, I heard a great deal of shouting coming from the room of our friends..upon rushing over there, I found that this incorrigible manager was YELLING at my friends at the top of his voice. I mean take that for Customer Service 1.0 !He was bellowing at the top of his lungs that how dare you sleep over the mattress! The poor things were so terrified at this ordeal that they cowered and tried to explain to him ...but what wrong have we done! He absoutely wouldn't listen and then charged over to tghe reception and said you have soiled" the mattress and the the protector and now you have to pay 40X2 =$80! I was like what for? your job as a property is to service the room and whatever's inside it ! How can you ask for extra money from us for doing whats your remit? He was like no - we don't wash the items so you have to pay. I mean the logic was insane...He kept shouting and arguing with all the ferociousness of someone who thinks that they can bully and browbeat a customer to pulp. Unfortunately or fortunately
