After dealing with GW Homes on a knockdown/ rebuild on our property in Everton Hills for four months and receiving consistent reassurances they could complete the job within our budget (right up until 6 weeks before sending the plans to the estimator), they came back with a quote 400k over our budget. Fleeced 5+k during that four months then disappeared leaving us with an outrageous quote and thousands of dollars out of pocket. We’re not naive and understand material costs have gone up drastically, since 2020, but 400k over and despite all the reassurances? Come on.Communication was also poor right from the start, with almost every timeframe communicated not met and a reliance on me to do all the following up, all the time. Buyer beware.

Excellent Service and communication, Mason was a pleasure to work with and our home turned out more than we ever thought. The process was nice and easy, Mason kept us up to date all the time with pictures of the build and always willing to accomodate. If you are looking to build a home in the near future, be sure to get in touch with them as you would not be disappointed. A++++

This was my first time building and it can seem quite daunting. GW Homes have been fantastic through the whole process. Whoever said building a house was stressful clearly didn't build with GW Homes! Thank you Mason, Roz, Andrew, Wayne and all the team that have not just built us a house, but given us a home. GW Homes has been so professional, helpful and responsive. Unfortunately, I was one of those with an unfinished project (south Brisbane) due to my previous builder that went into administration.GW Homes went beyond my expectations providing high quality work and amazing finish. They have a very well structured internal system providing us with weekly updates and progress photos. I was overwhelmed to see how close and proactive our site supervisor was, making us feel so valuable. We have recently completed a knock down / rebuild of our family home with GW Homes. After commencing the process with another builder, we are very happy that we changed direction and built with GW Homes.Fiona guided us through the planning, selection and contract stages and was available for the whole process to answer questions or to provide advice.The build itself wasn’t easy with the pandemic, lockdowns and wet weather however we had confidence in GW Homes as a long-standing Queensland firm and in Slav as the building supervisor who kept us informed throughout and was very responsive to our requests.We are extremely happy with the quality of our new home and believe it delivers on our goal of a family home that creates a better lifestyle for us now and into the future.Thanks to all at GW!Garry and Farlie

Our GW house was completed Dec 21. The price was good, but we had unnecessary delays, and some communication issues.If they are any reflection of the broader building industry in QLD, company failures can only partially be attributed to material and labour costs. It's mostly because of poor project management and transparency of client communication.Thanks to Mason for reaching out to resolve a few minor issues.
