Called to make an appointment & it was requested to send a copy of the referral so that a quote could be provided for cost of procedures. Quote provided & accepted ( all out of pocket, no rebates) and appointments completed. When payment was being made advised there would be an additional charge for an item not included in the quote that was required to complete requested items on the referral .

receptionists do everything to make sure you get appointments and followup treatment as soon as possible. So the turn around from Doc to treatment is fast. Billing is done with ease. Radiologists I give 10/10 too. Excellent service.

Hi there - I cannot thank the wonderful staff at Metro Radiology enough. My doctor requested an urgent scan for my son and all of the staff went above and beyond to ensure the scan was performed as soon as possible (within an hour of the referral), the results were available soon after, not to mention the wonderful emotional support I received from all of the staff on that day. Thank you and I cannot recommend this practice highly enough <3

The ladies have all been very kind and helpful. Had a MRI scan here twice and was amazing. Appointment is highly recommended and waiting area has TV and water for your comfort. Speaking of comfort, due to the position I had to lie during the MRI scan, the lady was extremely friendly and made sure I felt as comfortable as possible. Foam and pillows was used to support my body parts and I was being offered a blanket for warmth. Reports are available within 24 hours.

Phoned early in the week for an appointment and I was told that there is no need as my scan is quick and I can simply walk in. Arrived on Saturday at 11h50 (the Metro Radiology documents states they close at 1pm). The receptionist then tells me that I cannot be seen to as they close at 12noon. Her explanation- unfortunately they did not update the referral notes with the new closing time. I am then told to come any time in the week and (again) no need for an appointment!Ordinary service at best and I will ask my dentist for a referral elsewhere.

had been told wrong appointment time 10:15am. arrived at 10:06am.when arrived lady at front desk was rude + said they could not fit me in as the appointment was at 10am. when i phoned later to discuss with sonja the manager, no accountability was taken and complete blame was placed on me. a time prior i attended i waited over 40 mins until i was seen. we arrive 6 mins late to the correct" time and was told to leave. both my partner and i have taken time off work for this and have been so unwell to make the appointment was a struggle. the front desk team at metro are not providing a caring and “hassle free” imaging experience to you."

I tried to book an ultrasound for both of my legs. The receptionist told me I would need two separate appointments and that each appointment would go for 45 minutes. When I explained that I live on the opposite side of town and would need to organize a babysitter for my son or take time off work, she said that it was not possible to do the scans together and was firm that I needed two separate appointments. I thought this must be for medical reasons. The receptionist was very abrupt and not very understanding. I took my referral to my local Qld X-ray - they scanned both legs in one appointment and the whole process took about 40 minutes. I asked my Sonographer why I was told that the scans needed to be done separately and they said it was so I could be billed for two appointments. The scan cost about $450 (out of pocket before Medicare rebate) so I’m glad I wasn’t billed twice. I found Qld X-ray to be run professionally and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would not recommend Metro Radiology and I would advise anyone thinking of going here to check the information you are told.

I recently had to go for an ultrasound as a routine check. Metro is a new practice in Ashgrove, parking is easy and their facilities are modern and pleasant. Reception staff were helpful and the Sonographer was highly experienced, actually she was also a lecturer in sonography at QUT. I am an ex radiographer myself from many years ago so I kinda know what to look for!They needed to do a CT, and that was booked in promptly, and also was a very easy professional experience. I was a bit nervous, having experience in the industry decades ago, about having a contrast injection, but I hardly even felt it.Overall a very professional experience, and total cost = $0 thanks to bulk billing.

I had a wonderful experience here, super friendly staff and an inviting space. Tammy was a great sonographer and a highlight to my pregnancy journey. There are out of pocket costs but you do receive a Medicare rebate.
