Chiefly Park is an open park maintained and used by the community.Featuring, War Memorial including several functional structures and boundaries; it is utilised by the general public and charity groups. The gazebo in the center has no inbuilt seating. However, there are several permenant benches scattered throughout the park.Bring extra seating and tables. The metal arch could be used in special occasion photographs both novice and master.Local churches as far as Parramatta conduct outreach activities.Fetes with festivities are calendar events such as Mad Hatter's, Anzac Day and Carols by Candle light. There is room for plenty and everyone is welcome.Shops, skate park, library, community hall, public toilets, public phones and regular buses.People have used the park to play cricket, celebrate birthdays and play chasing. (My favourite childhood game.)Shopping village includes several shops including IGA, takeaways and cafes. There is plenty of parking. The community garden is close by and offers additional events such as the Corn Festival and community programs.

Chifley Park
The area has a high crime rate, in particular robberies, drug & alcohol abuse. The addicts live in nearby dept of housing properties which surround the park and thereby make it dangerous to host important events

Chifley Park, appropriately named after a renowned Australian Prime Minister of the past. I do indeed like this park, which recently under went an overhaul of landscaping development. I appreciated what was in place 7 years ago but I must admit the new development has got rid of a lot of unnecessary brickwork and steps. It appears far easier to maintain and possibly prevent some unnecessary falls that could occur to foolish human behaviour. At one stage during the height of the COVID pandemic someone was actually camping in this place. And on another occasion I discovered a red fire extinguisher lying near the garden of remembrance amongst the rosemary bushes. Lalor Park never ceases to intrigue me, especially behaviorally. I would never like to find out or know who does what. Sincerely, an inhabitant of the area. Good Bye.

It's a small but cozy little community park. A good place to occasionally walk past and rest.
