Lake George Winery

Great Cellar door, one of the best I have seen. Tastings only $10 per person of 6 wines, which are credited with any purchase.I didn’t try the Gins, but will be back.

We were in Canberra and came across this place and turn out to be great experience . We went for wine tasting and try few wines downstairs . Then went upstairs for lunch and what a delight of food it was . The owner was very helpful and friendly. This is great place for functions also .Definitely recommend places to visit .

Been driving past this winery for many years.Today we had time to call in for a tasting.WOW! What a great find.Aaron the host was ahhhmazing. Full of knowledge and experience.Do yourself a favour and try the gin. You will be glad you did.Very welcoming we will be back we walked away with a box of gorgeous wines ,& gin.

Came here purely for the wine. Spoke with the personable staff, he was so friendly! We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine and were educated on the region, the wines and a bit on Canberra. I'd recommend if you want a scenic view and some sublime wine.

I had a really lovely lunch here with my family. We chose the 3 course lunch option and all the dishes were spectacular. I had the poached salmon special which was done to perfection. The restaurant has a lovely view of the vineyard, and the room itself is very nice, with great recovered hardwood floors, an open fireplace and a large central clear story letting in lots of natural light.

We have had the good fortune of getting to eat at Lake George Winery twice on our week away in Canberra. Firstly, while we were wine tasting, we enjoyed an amazing platter and freshly made scones. Delicious.Sarah was knowledgeable about the entire wine list and even took us down to the cellar so we could see the history of Lake George’s winery.We then had breakfast at the end of our trip and everyone else ate so fast we didn’t get to take photos. The children had pancakes, my husband ate the Lake George breakfast. I had the poached eggs with salmon. Wow!!! Hard to top. We will be back when we next visit Canberra.

Beautiful food, attentive staff. Everything tasted amazing, but barramundi, duck, and a triple medley of cauliflower (an experimental special of the chef on the day who really knows what to do with good quality raw ingredients!) were exceptional. Beetroot cured salmon melted in my mouth like it should. Leave room for dessert! Chocolate terrine was rich and deliciously accompanied by half pear with rosewater and petals. No strawberry panacotta on the day, but a mandarin version was a beautiful substitute. Oh, and there's wine :)

This winery is amazing. I visit often which has included wine tastings, lunch, events and to stay in the tiny homes.Sarah and the team are great. Attentive, food is delicious, and they explain the wine making process along with the tasting notes.Staying in the airbnbs are fabulous. Always clean and tidy and it’s nice to wake up to that view!

Lake George Winery Cellar Door was wonderful! Delicious taste testing of their wines is a fun afternoon spent. The staff are knowledgeable,friendly and very welcoming. Under the fairy lights and unique ambiance, the Cellar door was comforting and relaxing - just added that extra to your visit

Had an amazing experience at Lake George Winery yesterday. We are lunch at the beautiful restaurant called the Westering. The view is absolutely gorgeous overlooking the vineyard and the restaurant space is very open and welcoming. The service from all staff was immaculate, particularly Suzie who we would like to thank. We decided to go for the the 3 course menu matched with the wine. All items were delicious, and the wine seriously impressed us! The serving sizes of each meal were very generous and we were seriously filled up with happy tummies. Can recommend the riesling wine and also the arancini for entree. We then went down to the cellar to buy some bottles of wine and little souvenirs. We had a very pleasant time and would return in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!
