Can’t rave about this place enough! I called at 4pm Thursday and received four beautiful silk covered zabuton in Sydney the next morning. The service and price were both excellent. Richard patiently and accurately described the cushions to me over the phone and answered all my other queries with grace.It was also cheaper to buy from Japanache and have items shipped to Sydney than to buy locally! And they sell things that it is not possible to get anywhere else. Brilliant shop.

I'm so happy with my new genuine Japanese tatami and futon! I loved knowing how the tatami was treated, and the fact the business understood why futon was good for you and how to look after them properly. The single size is perfect and light so that I can easily take them out in the sun. With a mattress topper underneath, my Australian husband is very happy and comfortable as well.

High quality product and very knowledgeable, helpful staff.Drove down from Brisbane ready to get a king futon, tatamis, etc delivered. Ended up being patiently assisted while we attempted to fit empty boxes in a small sedan to ensure it would fit and save on delivery costs. Great experience and advice in store!Now to the futon and tatamis. Incredibly well made and so comfortable. My partner was confident in the decision, but I had never experienced sleeping on one. I absolutely love it and can't wait to enjoy it for many years to come. Thanks!

Richard was extremely helpful and very knowledgable on all of his products and recommendations. He knew straight away what I needed and the delivery was very fast as well. The futon arrived and had been packaged very well, and so amazingly comfortable to sleep on. We also have the tatami underneath it and it has help my mum with her back problem. Quality of both the futon and tatami are so impressive! Price was great, very good value. My experience with Japaneche was so seamless. The only thing is that unfortunately they are not in Melbourne!

Japanache were the ONLY company I could find that sold authentic, traditional Japanese futons made by an actual Japanese family in Japan. They were pleasant to deal with, were extremely helpful and polite on the phone and sent me my order as fast as possible. They even stayed in touch when there were delays out of their hands. I would recommend them to anyone looking for futons and I will 100% return and get a new one from them when mine needs replacing.

Love the futon. It was delivered super quick too. The advice prior to ordering was honest and reassuring. It took a little while to get fully used to the futon, but now I absolutely love it. I've noticed that my posture has improved since sleeping on it. The quilt is great too, generous length and width which will be good for winter.

Japanache is one of my favourite shops. There is so many authentic antiques and collectables you will always find a pleasant surprise. The owner is also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am a repeat customer because he is always honest and never tries to push a sale. Definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for one of my favourite shops.
