Extremely disappointed with the service provided by Alpine. We had them out to help repair an issue with one of our appliances. They took a couple of hours to identify any issues with it, due to their little knowledge of the product. Once they had identified the problem, they began to clean and fix the issue, their methods of cleaning was going to take them up to 6 hours to clean the appliance properly. They told us that every fan in our appliance needed replacing and with their labour involved with the cleaning, they quoted us $2,500 to fix it. Which they took over a week to provide us the quote despite it being an urgent matter. We paid for their callout and awaited their quote for them to return another time.We proceeded to manually clean the appliance ourselves later in the day, which took us 20 minutes to do so. Every fan in the appliance worked fine and didn't have any faults at all. We proceeded to get another company to check our appliance for us and found no issues. We avoided having to pay $2,500 to fix a non-issue. It is clear that Alpine lack product knowledge of commercial refrigeration units and need to learn more appropriate methods to service these units that other tradesman in the area are already using. We appreciate Alpine coming out to help us with short notice, but small business owners may be in serious danger of being 'ripped off' due to their poor service.
