St Georges Lake
Great spot for a BBQ in warmer weather. Some locals use it for kayaking and fishing too. There's a really beautiful walk you can do around the lake which is an easy family friendly stroll, highly recommend its very picturesque.Water is often a little cold but if you're brave, it's a great swimming spot!

A gorgeous place to stroll and sightsee. The lake is so beautiful and good for swimming. The circuit trail is not too intense and takes only 20-40 minutes to complete. BBQ facilities are available around here too. A family friendly location.

Lovely short walk around the lake, longer walks up to the town, nice spots to jump into the water for the more adventurous ones, picnic tables and fireplaces available. Perfect place to stay during summer

My favourite place. Beautiful fresh lake water and a pleasant, shady walk all around just irregular enough to be good exercise.. There is a steep drop off in depth but signs warn you of this and the first few metres are ok for swimming. Lots of scope for fishing and kayaking. Includes ducks.

A lovely walk around the lake for our weekend getaway. The track was slippery after the raid and would have benefited from some TLC. But still a nice place to visit

A really big lake with lots of space for everyone and little more secluded places if you are looking for something less social. There is some rocks you can jump off and a great big rock wall that you can walk on past the bridge. Heaps of room on the grass for picnics and beach tents, there are barbecues and picnic tables too and a toilet block. Very large car park and overflow car park, even on a holiday with a ton of people there we managed to find a few parks. Everyone in the area is friendly and dogs are welcome I’m abundance. You can bring all sorts of water toys, inflatables and canoes. There is a nice pathway walk through the forest. The water quality is a little brown and fair warning that the surface in the lake is quiet muddy (which you’d expect). Overall, a super place to take children for a day out and just generally for a peaceful place in nature to relax.

Wonderful spot for a day out.Come for a barbeOr come for a picnic.Fancy a swim? How about paddle boarding? This place has you covered. With plenty of shade around casted by shadows from the large surrounding trees there's a spot for everyone.A grade 1 simple leisurely walk around the lake is a must do.Want more excitement? Then go to the opposite side and jump off a rock. Don't worry, you'll see the locals so you won't be in the wrong spot. This was a nice walk and certainly worth coming back. There is a composting toilet, rainfall hand wash and an overflow car park for busy summer times.Oh beware, the entry to the overflow is a little tight.

A really beautiful lake and a great circular walk! Plenty of wildlife to see on the circular walk and some great views. The walk itself is relatively easy and the path is clearly marked. There are two (?) car park areas to choose from and there's generally plenty of space. There are a few places to have a picnic with a few picnic benches scattered out on the walk.Dogs are allowed (on leash) which is great too.
