Nice nature walk, 40 mins walk from here to fish falls. Better area to swim at fish falls than at Mackenzie falls. Zumsteins/Zumsteins picnic area mainly displays historic buildings and is very brief.

This picnic ground used to be a camping area. If you walk around the trail you will find metal books telling the story of how Mr & Mrs Zumstein built it up. They even had a swimming pool.The walk to Fish Falls is well worth it.

The picnic area itself is very nice, the bathrooms were clean, there's a good number of parking spots and there's several bbq/table spots... BUT I can imagine during the summer it being very crowded so you'd definitely have to come early to get a spot. We didn't picnic though... We just passed through to do the hike to McKenzie Falls and back. The hike is beautiful and totally worth doing. It isn't paved but the trail is still very well maintained so you don't need hiking boots. And if you're not feeling ambitious enough to go all the way to McKenzie, just getting to Fish Falls is worth it as well.

Great picnic area with flushing toilets, rover access to dip your toes in & a small historic walk to learn about Zumsteins.It is also the best place to access McKenzie falls from!

Beautiful waterfalls, nice walking paths.Historical cottages and information on early settlers. A very nice picnic area.

This place is actually a little eerie if you're at the old holiday retreat alone. The creek is nice and the signs around the historical buildings are interesting.
